Why you need to know about The Lady Garden

Cult beauty has always prioritised honesty and integrity in its edit of the world's best beauty products and, with the launch of our {Sexual Pleasure and Wellness} category, we wanted to work with a likeminded charity - an organisation that's doing incredible work to promote awareness about gynaecological health. We'll donate 10% of the profits* from sales of our edit of supplements, cleansers and tech to the {Lady Garden Foundation} - an incredible charity making some much-needed NOISE about these 'Silent Killers'.

Our first official charity partnership, The Lady Garden is a globally renowned charity funding essential research into gynaecological cancers. Founded in 2014 to facilitate groundbreaking advances in the treatment of these cancers at The Royal Marsden NHS Trust, the Lady Garden's founders - a team of eight amazing women - are determined to help 'rid the world' of these devastating conditions. All touched by these cancers in some way, this passionate team is as ambitious as the vision – to not only change the future of female health, but the way we talk about it too.

When they started in 2014, surveys showed that 41% of women were too embarrassed to go to the doctor about a gynaecological issue - let alone talk to a friend. {The Lady Garden} felt a change was overdue and now are on a quest to change the way we talk about our Lady Gardens.

Standing together as daughters, sisters and mothers, the team - chaired by PR guru Jenny Halpern Prince - want us to ditch the 'private' from our 'private parts'. 'We are loud and we are bold. We are restless and we are relentless' is how they position their dogged approach to encouraging open discussion about women's bodies. 'The more open we are about talking about our bodies, the more we will understand them. The more we understand them, the more likely we are to realise when something is wrong.'

"The five gynaecological cancers (ovarian, vulval, vaginal, cervical and womb) are sometimes referred to as the 'Silent Killers' because there is relatively low awareness of early symptom signs. Often by the time a diagnosis is made the cancer can be advanced and therefore, the chances of survival are far lower. With an average mortality rate of 44%, understanding the symptoms of will save so many women's lives. "This exciting partnership with Cult Beauty will raise significant funds for more groundbreaking research to drastically reduce diagnoses and the devastating outcomes. Our mission is to change the way we talk about female health. It starts with the very name of our Foundation... we want to get women thinking and talking about their Lady Gardens! “Our collaboration with Cult Beauty helps us on our quest to change the conversation. We are proud and excited to partner with 'Cult' and give voice to these silent killers." - Jenny Halpern Prince, Chairperson, The Lady Garden Foundation
