A 101 GUIDE TO LA ROCHE POSAY

two clear shelves each containing a row of la roche posay skin care products

The iconic French La Roche Posay skin care brand is famed for its innovative and efficient skin products alongside a backstory that spans centuries. Developed with expert dermatologists, La Roche Posay aims to create life-changing skin care that focuses on real skin issues with scientifically-backed solutions.

Known for products like its Effaclar Duo Moisturiser and award-winning SPF innovations, La Roche Posay is clear about its scientific focus – but that’s only part of this iconic brand’s history. The story began in the 14th century when thermal spring water was discovered in the French town of La Roche Posay. Legend has it that a nobleman was able to cure his horse of severe eczema from a single bath in the thermal springs. Fast-forward to 1975 and the La Roche Posay brand was born, focused on developing effective and efficient yet simple skin care products with this natural source of water at the heart of each formula.

Today, each La Roche Posay product is developed with dermatologists to ensure the best and most effective ingredients are used in every formula. With products for all skin types and skin issues, you’ll find simple skin care with a scientific twist, designed to combat the real issues that we face when it comes to our skin.

HOW TO USE LA ROCHE POSAY

  1. The first step in finding the right products for you is to identify your skin type. Then you can explore the La Roche Posay range and find your perfect match.
  2. Once you’ve found the right products for your skin type, it’s all about creating the right skin care routine to make the best of them. When introducing new products to your routine, it’s always best to start slowly and try them out one at a time to ensure your skin loves them as much as you do! Always remember to do a patch test, especially if you’ve chosen products with active ingredients, such as retinol.
  3. Start your routine with your cleanser, cleaning your skin of make up and dirt residue that be left on the surface of the skin and in the pores after a long day. Cleanse twice a day. Some dermatologists recommend a double cleanse at night before adding your skin care.
  4. Next, move on to your moisturisers and serums, gently layering them onto the skin using your fingertips. Concentrate on massaging the product into the skin using upwards and outwards motions. And don’t forget your neck.
