HOW DO YOU WEAR GOLD EYESHADOW?

“When it comes to makeup, I believe it all comes down to personal preference and ultimately, having fun with it!” says Kimberley, one of our incredible {Cult Concierge} experts. “Gold eyeshadow is super versatile. It can be worn as a wash colour across the eyelids, or as a bold statement eyeshadow look, but I would suggest that mascara is almost essential. A minimal or full base would be suitable, and pretty much any preferred lip shade and texture would also work!”

CAN YOU WEAR GOLD EYESHADOW WITH RED LIPSTICK?

“Yes! Gold eyeshadow is super versatile, so when it comes to shades for pairing the eyes with the lips, you can go as subtle or as bright and vibrant as you’d like!”

WHO CAN WEAR GOLD EYESHADOW?

In short – anyone and everyone! “In my opinion and expertise,” says Kimberley, “brown eyes suit a yellow-gold and a traditional light champagne gold, whereas if you have blue or green eyes you could opt for something warmer - look for more orange and copper tones in the gold. This is because blue and orange are complementary colours that work well together and really pop the shadow and the eyes!”

“If you have fairer skin and cooler undertones, a light champagne hue works best. If you have deeper tones, go for more vibrant golds! Ultimately though, having fun and being expressive with make up is the most important thing, so experiment and discover the looks that spark the most joy!”
