CB's Co-Founder Alexia believes there's an island somewhere just off the coast of Perth ('straya), where {BECCA} genetically modify models to make them jaw-droppingly beautiful.
The BECCA babes are 'ridiculously good looking', with skin that looks like somebody just switched a lamp on in their heads... (who doesn't want a 'lamp head'?), and Team CB are devoted; worshipping at the brand's glow-bestowing altar. But none are more evangelical than our Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Jennifer, whose BECCA addiction is REAL. Below, she shares a true account of living with make up obsession...
“Hello, my name is Jennifer and I'm a BECCA-holic.
"I've always had an addictive personality (dungarees, 70s prints and those Kinder Happy Hippos are amongst my other vices), but my compulsion to buy {BECCA} cosmetics outweighs them all, and for good reason. Their range of face-enhancing make up is, in my opinion, the best in the world. "Amongst my comprehensive stash of BECCA goodies are a few firm favourites that I reach for on a daily basis.
"I start every ‘face’ with the {Backlight Priming Filter}; it reflects light and makes skin look naturally 'glowy' and healthy. It’s great under a heavy-duty foundation to make it look more natural (also great if you’re hungover and can’t be bothered to do a full face of make up but want to look distinctly less dire).
"The {Under Eye Brightening Corrector} is AMAZING at hiding dark circles. It’s really brightening and the peachy colour counteracts the darkness under my eyes. It just makes me look a lot more 'alive'.
"Next is the foundation. I’ve always suffered with mild acne and redness, so I need a heavy-coverage foundation, but preferably one that doesn’t look as thick as paint. If I’m having a ‘good’ skin day, I’ll mix half a pump of this with some liquid highlighter to make it a bit more luminous. I have several which I use intermittently depending on my mood or how tanned/pale my skin is at the time, but ALL of them grant an ethereal glow that makes your skin look happy and healthy.
"The list of game-changing products goes on and on and I think I’ll get to a stage where my make up bag is compiled exclusively of {BECCA} products.
