MEET THE TEAM: DIMITRA

Dimitra Mathioudakis - Cult Beauty Digital Designer

Our Digital Designer Dimitra is a bona fide BABE in all respects - as well as heading up our visual department, she also speaks *a gazillion* languages, is the owner of some bangin' brows and introduced us to designer childrenswear (hello Kenzo sweatshirts for 16 year olds #winning). She's also a walking gospel when it comes to cosmetic ingredients, favouring 'all natural', organic products over their synthetic siblings. Here she tells us which Cult Beauty buys she swears by...

"My skin is staunchly combination and as a beauty addict, I have tried all sorts of skin care and make up solutions - to minimise shine and re-establish equilibrium. In my early twenties, I developed mild acne (having been blemish-free during my teens) - not the 21st birthday present I'd been hoping for. It emerged that the problem was linked to my hormones (as is so often the case), and I was given medication - as well as a recommendation to be more circumspect when choosing beauty products. So, I started avoiding harsh astringents and looking out for chemicals which could provoke my newly tempestuous complexion. I switched to an organic, mineral powder foundation which soon made a tangible difference, and ever since I've been increasingly mindful of 'going organic' (I don't want spots EVER again)."

Dimi's Cult Beauty Picks

I like to keep my 'everyday' beauty look simple - just mineral foundation, concealer and mascara. I'm a huge fan of {RMS Beauty} and their {'Un' Cover-up Concealer} does exactly as its name suggests - disguising blemishes and dark circles without any tell-tale creasing or chalkiness.

Dimi's Picks RMS Beauty & EOS

EOS {Lip Balms} are SO CUTE. I have several stashed in handbags, coat pockets, desk drawers, but if I had to choose just one I'd opt for {Strawberry Sorbet} (it's pink).

Finding an organic eye make remover has been a challenge - I had a really hard time letting go of my previous (high profile) go-to, which I had been devoted to for years. Which is why I was delighted when we launched {Grown Alchemist} - snapping up their gorgeous {Eye Make Up Remover} as soon as the products went live. It's cheap, effective and non-irritating - and free from any potential nasties. I think the whole GA range is fabulous - I'm also addicted to their {Vanilla & Orange Peel Hand Cream}, which comes in a chic, black tube.

After eye make up-removal, I cleanse with the fantastic MV Organic Skincare {Gentle Cream Cleanser} - it's ultra-gentle and incredibly nourishing - leaving my face feeling clean and hydrated.

Dimi's Picks RMS Beauty and Odacite

In the evening, I follow-up with Odacité's {Combination Skin Serum Concentrate} - an organic skin 'booster' with peach and cypress, that nourishes throughout the night. This also makes a great base for make up, when massaged into skin and allowed to absorb for five minutes before base.

SHOP ODACITÉ >>

My hair is quite fine so I usually choose something volumising. rahua's {Voluminous Shampoo} and {Voluminous Conditioner} are non-stripping and invigorating, thanks to a 'zingy' blend of essential oils - including eucalyptus which smells heavenly.
