Davines' Alchemic Shampoo is a beautiful hair cleanser that enhances your colour while leaving your locks shining like patent leather. Davines is truly Italian both in quality and pizazz. By combining high-grade natural ingredients with first-rate scientific rigour the Bollati family has expanded its Parma research lab into an international, environmentally friendly hair care business.
Scientists at Davines distilled pure colour pigments and added them to precious creams to create the colour depositing Alchemic shampoo, which can be used to enhance both natural and coloured hair. This hardworking hair cleanser helps maintain colour between salon visits and enriches it with vibrant tones, all the while providing internal strength, protection and shine. Available in 'Silver Fox' for light/ash blondes and grey hair to bring down any brassiness, 'Golden Blond' to bring warmth and depth to honeyed blonds, 'Chocolate' to add a warm richness to Brunettes and 'Red' to add fire to auburn to redheads.

I love Davines
I’m loyal to Davines and alternate this and the Minu range to keep my dyed red hair, red. It doesn’t give the depth of the original salon colour but anyone who dyes their hair red will know keeping it red is a job in itself. This cleans well. Gets my hair shiny and just keeps that red a little longer between salon visits.

I didn’t notice my hair colour lasting longer or any other changes using this compared to any other shampoo I’ve used. It foams well, has a brown tinge that you see as you wash it out, and is okay overall. I hate the packaging - there’s no pump, so you tilt it into your hand, but loads always come out. I probably wouldn't repurchase.

Great for keeping colour fresh!
I bought this conditioner along with the matching shampoo to help keep my dark golden blonde hair looking fresh between salon visits. I can definitely see a difference in shine and the golden tone when using twice a week. I would definitely purchase again!

Lovely smell, I use this maybe once a month to keep my golden balayage fresh, along with the conditioner. Seems to help prolong colour as I only have it coloured twice a year and it holds up well.

Can be quite drying
Bought this as my hairdresser used it in the salon and it left a really nice colour on my fine blonde. It still does that at home however it can be quite drying so I’ve had to reduce how frequently I use it - no more than once a week now or my hair cant really take it.

Good shampoo but not suitable as a toner for brunettes
I'm brunette and hoped it will add a subtle red tone to my hair. But it did nothing to my hair colour. Maybe it works better if you have blonde haire. As a shampoo it's a good product

I love Davines but I'm not a fan of this (or the conditioner version). I bought the silver shampoo and conditioner. If you try to lather your hair it knots really badly! My hair is short (chin length), I was surprised how much my hair tangled. I don't know how it messed my hair up so bad! The colour isn't noticeable, I've used better silver shampoos. If you are going to try this, be careful if you try to lather your hair!! I also found that my hair became greasy a lot quicker when I used this shampoo (probably because I couldn't lather my hair)
