A cleansing hero for blemish-prone and sensitive skin types, frank body’s Charcoal Face Cleanser employs a blend of natural, vegan and cruelty-free ingredients to maintain a clear and calm complexion.
The star ingredient is activated charcoal, which penetrates deep into pores, removing impurities that could cause breakouts. Activated charcoal’s right-hand men are a sling of natural oils including coconut, grapeseed and almond, which gently break down your make up and daily dirt without irritating or drying your skin. Even the most sensitive skin types need not fear irritation – marshmallow root is on hand to soothe redness and keep your complexion happy. As if that weren’t enough, coffee seed extract boosts blood flow, collagen production and cell turnover, helping to fade scars and marks over time, and leave your face as bright as your future. Lather up!

Leaves skin very dry
Came in a beauty calendar. Cleanses perfectly well but leaves my skin so dry afterwards I have to slather on rich moisturiser and face oil. I guess the charcoal element is a quirky skincare angle but in reality it smells faintly of mould. I prefer a pleasant fragrance or none at all over this smell. Will not finish the pouch and definitely wouldn’t use this again.

Worth a try
This product does have pros and cons, but overall I like it so much that it made me want to write a review. I have combination skin. I purchased this because I thought it could help me reduce the appearance of my enlarged pores and blackheads. After two weeks of use, I already feel a subtle improvement in my skin. My skin became soft, and the appearance of blackheads reduced maybe. The latter is nobody can tell level, though. Then why didn't I wait another two weeks before writing this? Because the product runs out so quickly, probably due to its gel-like texture, not a thick mud texture. Besides, I needed to use more than "a little" to cleanse thoroughly. Other cons are it irritates my skin just a little bit, especially the area around my mouth, and my skin gets dry after rinsing it. I don't have dry or sensitive skin, so there's no problem after rinsing and then moisturizing, but ones with those types of skin type should be careful.

Great cleanser - boyfriend loves it
I bought for my boyfriend and noticed an improvement in his skin. Fewer breakouts, more even skin tone, and his skin looks calmer/less angry. Not overly drying, just a good solid cleanser and works well with his skin type (dry overall, but oily and prone to breakouts around the nose). We both also really like the way it smells - earthy and calming, great for cleansing before bedtime. He likes how unfussy it is.

Disappointed
This cleanser dried my skin out a lot. Also didn’t really notice an improvement with respect to breakouts/skin tone. Compared to other FB products (which are 5/5) this one was very disappointing and OVERPRICED!
