When goop, in collaboration with star perfumer Douglas Little, were dreaming up Scented Candle: Edition 01 - Church, they ‘were thinking of the centuries-old floorboards in a mountain chapel somewhere in Yugoslavia’ to create a perfume of ‘cypress smoke, snow, sensual quiet’. Blending notes of fresh cypress, said to alleviate loss; labdanum, said to settle hysteria and bring about inner peace and subtly spiced frankincense, said to heighten awareness, this intriguingly scented candle will help to fill your rooms with the atmosphere of calm focus. Extracts of patchouli leaf, clove leaf, vanilla fruit, red cedar and coffee seed mingle for a beautiful balance of the woody, the spiced and a whisper of the sweet. Entirely non-toxic and crafted from soybean wax, this clean candle has a burn time of up to 65 hours.

Light the wick of the candle on a flat surface, away from anything flammable and relax

TOP TIP: The first time you light any candle make sure you allow it to burn uninterrupted for two hours, that way the candle will then burn evenly to the base rather than just a small dent through the middle of the wax. Trim the wick before subsequent uses to avoid smoke.
