Created in collaboration with star perfumer Douglas Little, goop’s fragrances are composed entirely of natural elements, harnessing the healing powers of plants, flowers and barks to create sophisticated, sexy and oh-so original scents. The fragrance that perfumes this candle is described as one of ‘spirit-clearing smoke, mystical resins, forbidden spices and holy woods’, uniting notes of green frankincense, juniper and black pepper. Think: twisting and turning trails of smoke drifting along the Silk Road. Full of character, this makes a sublime signature scent for any home.

When goop, in collaboration with star perfumer Douglas Little, were dreaming up this Scented Candle: Edition 03 – Incense, they were inspired by ‘spirit-clearing smoke, mystical resins, forbidden spices and holy woods’. Deceptively simple, the fragrance centres around rare green frankincense from Oman, which is said to heighten spiritual awareness; labdanum, said to encourage creative expression and cedar, said to reduce negative influences. These mingle with juniper, black pepper, cardamom and cinnamon for the perfect balance of subtle spice and a whisper of sweetness. Entirely non-toxic and crafted from soybean wax, this clean candle has a burn time of up to 65 hours.

=Light the wick of the candle on a flat surface, away from anything flammable and relax

TOP TIP: The first time you light any candle make sure you allow it to burn uninterrupted for two hours, that way the candle will then burn evenly to the base rather than just a small dent through the middle of the wax. Trim the wick before subsequent uses to avoid smoke.
