I got the gel over the cream because I wanted to lock the moisture in and prevent it scabbing. Did the trick, and it was healed within three days. It loses two stars because it's not a cruelty free brand, and not matter how effective, I can't justify buying again. Wish I'd checked more fastidiously before purchasing.
