How much to use:
Short – bob.
Thin hair – 1 jar.
Thick hair – 1 jar.
Below shoulder – waist length:
Thin hair – 2 jars.
Thick hair – 2-3 jars.
Longer than waist-length:
Thin hair – 3+ jars.
You'll need: gloves, applicator brush, clips, bowl, & an old t-shirt or cape. Cover all surfaces you do not want to get hair dye on as Unicorn Hair can permanently stain surfaces and fabric.
1. For best results, start with clean, unconditioned, dry hair. Full Coverage shades work best with pre-bleached platinum to medium blonde hair and add a tint of colour to dark blonde and light brown hair.
2. Wear protective gloves and pour desired amount into a bowl.
3. Section hair into 4 even sections (front to back & side to side) and secure with clips. Work in 1 inch wide strands. Apply colour evenly from root to tip with applicator brush. Begin at the root of the hair applying colour evenly through to the ends. Massage each strand with fingers, root to tip, to ensure even distribution of colour.
4. Leave Full Coverage shades in for 30 minutes. No heat/cap required. For more intense, longer-lasting results, leave colour in for 1-2 hours. Don't worry, Unicorn Hair will not damage your hair, as it does not contain any harsh chemicals or bleach!
5. Rinse hair in cool to lukewarm water until hair feels clean. More intense shades may not rinse clear for the first few washes. Do not shampoo. Conditioner optional.
6. Style to your liking & enjoy your new Unicorn Hair!

Awful
It turned a mix of colours including brown, a tiny tiny bit of the intended shade and green. Swampy green at that. Then after washing my hair only once it all went completely green. Luckily using a pink colour from a different brand has banished the green to hell, hopefully for good. Wish I’d read the reviews before buying it

I have tried every coloured hair dye brand I can find and I love this product! Such a vibrant fun colour! I have darker brown hair and it still shows up super bright! It does fade after a few washes but I’ve learnt to expect that with “do it yourself” coloured dye. Gorgeous smell and kept my hair soft and silky.

I tried this dye twice, because I know the first time it was going to wash out easily, but even the second time it washed out within two washes. I realise its a semi permanent so it doesn't last forever, but for the amount of money you have to pay, I expect it to last a lot longer, I feel like it should be cheaper if its not going to last long, its a shame as well because its a beautiful red colour.

Awful - worst dye I have ever used
I had the shade ‘sext’ a nice sort of muted browny-mauve. I have bleached mid lengths-ends so was expecting good colour pay-off. On the plus side it was easy and pleasant to apply and smelled really nice. However, the colour I got at the end wasn’t even close to what it should have been, it was just a dirty blonde and worse than that, as it fades out it is definitely looking like a dirty khaki green. Beyond disappointed.

Beautiful colour, smells lovely, washed out instantly
I bought shook and the color was stunning. It’s the only shade of pink I have ever liked. I was super excited to try it. My hair holds dye very well (I usually only have to redye my hair every 2/3 months). I did everything right, left the dye on my head much longer than suggested. The colour was incredible but it completely washed out in 3 washes. For the price of this I am beyond disappointed.

Not what I expected....
I had about level 9ish hair, put this on, it tinted it ever so lightly, barely noticeable. Washed my hair 5 days later & it all washed out completely, I get it was semi-permanent but I at least wanted a couple of washes out of it.

Doesn’t stick to hair at all
I used 4 packs of bleach to lighten my hair, I used 3 pots of colour and when it was on my hair it looked pigmented and like it was working but as soon as I washed my hair the colour was completely gone except for on my roots at the front. My hair went a ginger colour but not pink at all.
