Making waves in the hair care industry, Melanin Haircare was founded by sister-duo Whitney White (known to many as Naptural85) and Taffeta White. The renowned hair vlogger-turned-entrepreneur first garnered her 700k+ following on social media for her tried and tested critiques on natural hair care products. Today, the co-founders take matters into their own hands and creating formulas that work in harmony to detangle, define, and hydrate the toughest of coils while taking care of your scalp in the process.
THE FOUR-PIECE LINE
Built on the ethos of ‘simple, natural, hair care’, Melanin hair care embraces the natural hair movement. Understanding that treating your tresses can be somewhat time-consuming, the brand launched with its less is more four-piece line back in 2018. Including a shampoo, leave-in conditioner, elongating cream, and oil, the collection combines natural and safe synthetic ingredients.

Refusing to settle for anything but the best, Melanin Haircare thoroughly tests all its ingredients to ensure the best results. The process is simple, if the founders wouldn’t use it on their hair, then it won’t be used in their products. With that in mind, all the brand’s hair care heroes are free from silicones, parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, petroleum, and formaldehyde.
