Working overtime to restore scalps in crisis, this Transforming Scalp Serum from Ameliorate is a nourishing overnight treatment that resurfaces the uppermost layers of skin while infusing intense moisture.
This formula helps to ease the effects of desperately dry scalps: from flaky skin to uncomfortable itchiness. A blend of oat oil, frankincense extract, celery seed oil and minerals replenishes your moisture barrier and encourages an improved, even appearance, while establishing a healthy habitat for balanced scalp microflora (essential bacteria). Made with an infusion of lactic acid – an effective alpha hydroxy acid – it helps to dissolve the bonds between old cells, revealing a healthier layer of skin. This exfoliating action works in harmony with their proprietary LaH6 Skin Hydration Complex which is comprised of oat-based hydrating ingredients, that are clinically proven to moisturise for up to 8 hours in their wash-off products.

When starting the treatment, apply the product 3 times over the first week directly onto DRY scalp. Massage gently into scalp and leave overnight. Wash thoroughly in the morning. Bought this to tackle scaly scalp when using purple shampoos as I have grey/white hair with golden highlights Did the job well Can use overnight as directed before shampooing with ameliorate shampoo next day but also handy to apply to smaller areas as needed without making hair greasy

This product has helped soothe my angry itchy scalp when I’m having a flare-up. I still have some itchiness despite using it once a week for a few weeks now. Perhaps I should have used it twice a week and used their shampoo for better results. One thing to note is it smells quite chemical-y which kept me awake once when I used too much and could smell it while trying to fall asleep! I am quite sensitive to smells so probably no one else has had this problem lol

I have thick hair and a scalp that tends to get inflamed. I've experimented a lot with scrubs and pre-wash serums and this has been the best I've used. It's no frills, lasts a decent amount of time and cuts down actual time in the shower. As someone with thick hair and a fairly active lifestyle, this has been a great boon. Good Maintenance for Great Hair Goals
I'm a confirmed disciple for anything that Ameliorate make, I love that they are driven by efficacy and that while it might not be the most glam product in my bathroom it never lets me down. This scalp treatment has become a must have for me, even though I don't suffer with a really troubled scalp I love the way it makes my oily roots feel fresher after a wash and also that it's just good maintenance for my overall hair health.

I'm really impressed with this serum, pleasantly surprised! My scalp has been very flakey/signs of psoriasis all of 2020. I'm trying to wash my hair less often, ideally like twice a week - but as a result, my scalp is dry and likely irritated from sweat (after working out). T-Gel used to work in the past, but isn't anymore, so I went searching the internet for some sort of soothing serum. After using this twice a week for about a month or so, the night before washes, my scalp has definitely improved. Still not 100% flake free but getting there. I focus on the problem areas and rub in. I'd recommend, and will buy again.
