Good for hair and planet
I chose this brush because its body is made of wood rather than plastic. It's great for gently detangling thick curly, shoulder-length hair before washing and works just as fell on the better half's fine, breakable shoulder-length tresses. There is a bounce to its bristles that helps avoid tearing out strands (a big problem for me with fully rigid brushes). Be nice yo your scalp
Unless you've used a detangling brush i.e. tangle teaser i wouldn't recommend this brush for getting out knots. What i do love about this brush is the firm bristles which definitely gives a salon-worthy scalp massage. My hair and scalp is often unhappy so anything I can do to help stimulate and encourage it to get itself together I will.

Didn't love it
It doesn't work great on long thin hair. I don't find it useful for detangling and neither for styling, it just makes everything painful. Wanted to love it, but sadly I don't.
