Acting as an invisible shield against the drying effects of UV rays, be sure to keep one of these mists close at hand when you're on holiday or simply sunbathing in the garden - we'll take what we can get!
Effortless to apply, this lightweight spray casts an undetectable screen over your strands to provide effective protection against sun exposure that often leads to damage and dryness. It's crafted with UVA/UVB filters, derived from wintergreen and cinnamon bark oils, that help to prevent straw-like damage. A member of a three-part defence and recovery system, simply spritz the water-resistant formula over your lengths before you go out to keep them looking happy and healthy. As if we couldn't love it anymore, it's infused with Aveda's own pure-fume™ aroma: an invigorating medley of certified organic neroli, ylang ylang, citrus and other pure flower and plant essences.

Strong smell of alcohol
Bought and packed for my beach holiday. On first application there was such a strong chemical smell. It burned my throat. Looked at ingredients and first on list was alcohol! Which seems odd for something for your hair to hydrate and protect. Unsurprisingly it left my dyed, dry hair like crispy straw.

This smells amazing and I do think it protected my hair in the sun recently but even if you only use a tiny bit it is greasy. I wasn’t that bothered during the day on holiday but I wouldn’t use it if I wasn’t in and out of the pool.

Really trying to up my hair care ritual at the moment and never thought to protect my hair from sun damage. So easy to use: just spray on before you go out. I found a tiny little bit goes a long way and if I sprayed too much it made my hair greasy. A “veil” of spray is all that’s needed and it smells lovely as well.

I think it worked
I took it on Dubai vacation hoping it will protect my scalp and hair. I did wear a hat on most days but on the days I just sprayed this on my head it seemed to protect my head from the sun. My scalp didn't get sunburned and it usually does.

Neither love nor hate
I bought this as I've been told I really should use a heat protector if out in the sun or diffusing my hair, but it is hard to tell if it works or not. I don't notice any heat damage recently (which is good!) but I also don't expose my hair to my heat to begin with. The bottle sprays fine and it's easy to spritz into the hair before diffusing etc. Downside for me is the smell, as it reminds me of bug spray.
