Combining Avène’s Thermal Spring Water – for a surge of soothing moisture – with [C-Restore]™ (a post-biotic biotechnological patented active ingredient derived from Aqua Dolomiae), the barrier-replenishing cream helps to minimise feelings of discomfort and dryness for up to 48 hours. Topped with clarifying copper sulphate and zinc sulphate, the fragrance-free formula is suitable for the whole family.

Good barrier cream
Love this for the last step in my skincare routine - helps seal everything in. It’s slightly thicker than another French cicaplast product but I prefer how it sits on the skin. Also love using it as a face mask when I need a moisture boost

Healing Ointment!
This is what you want when your skin truly has been thrown completely out of balance when your skin barrier has collapsed and you just need some help and calming! I have been using this cream for a few years now, especially for my face post laser hair removal to help calm, heal and soothe the skin when it's very vulnerable post-laser. Especially as I am a borderline skin tone I can use the stronger setting but can be at risk for hyperpigmentation and just that sensitivity and heat you feel after words this works to help lock in and calm the skin. This does have zinc in so does absorb much more slowly than a normal cream and can leave a strong cast on the skin depending on how much you use plus your skin tone, so maybe one for your nighttime routine. Though when I needed this I did not care, I would apply it over a soothing moisturiser a thin layer in the morning and a more genrious layer at night as my moisturiser.

This has such a cult following and I can totally see why! I bought this as I had a reaction after trying a new product and I wanted something simple to just hydrate and bring my skin back to its normal health! I layered this all over and down my neck and it was so calming and hydration! It helped instantly, I carry this with me all the time! I use under my eyes, my hands, cuticles and anywhere I have any sensitivity or redness or just needs some TLC! This is one of those I’ll cut it open and scrape every last bit out of the tube products!
