The bed of nails has been used by Indian mystics for centuries in the practice of healing and meditation and now it's been re-invented with a Scandinavian twist to give you a whole range of benefits, from soothing sleeplessness and easing stress to helping you re-balance after a long haul flight, alleviating aches and pains and even reducing the appearance of cellulite (the spikes help the body rid itself of toxins and increase blood flow, to assist the breakdown of stubborn fat groupings). It's also brilliant for easing neck and back pain, and can even have a positive impact on your complexion!
Far from being a scary instrument of torture, this Bed of Nails can have a rapid impact on those nagging aches and pains and help you get a heavenly night's sleep. The makers have cleverly combined Eastern wisdom with Scandinavian modernity to create a funky-looking acupressure mat that alleviates tension, stress and stubborn twinges - helping you to unwind, clear your mind and to feel more nimble. More than 8,800 non-toxic plastic spikes are arranged on the mat and work in a similar way to acupuncture needles, helping release endorphins (the body's own 'happiness' drug) and oyxtocin, to help you stay calm and relaxed.
The nails are made of 100% recycled non-toxic ABS plastic, the textile is cotton. The Bed of Nails should not be used in case of skin disease, haemophilia or the intake of anticoagulants.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Lay the Bed of Nails on the floor or on a mattress and slowly lower yourself onto it. Beginners should wear a light T-shirt or lay a sheet over the mat until your body and skin get used to the spikes. Initially lie on the Bed of Nails for 10 - 15 mins, and as you get used to the pressure you can build up to 20 - 30 mins.
Use as often as you need - preferably daily. Don't be alarmed if your skin stings a bit or feels warm and tingly, and it's perfectly safe to fall asleep for a while on the mat.
Leaning against it (rather than laying on top of the mat and pillow) is a lighter way to use Bed of Nails while you acclimatise (you put less weight on the spikes when you do). Place the mat/pillow at the back of your sofa, bed or armchair to experience the benefits while building up your tolerance.

Amazing results
I bought this mat when my back and neck was sore and stiff, when nothing else worked. It is brilliant, it doesn’t work immediately but after about 3 or 4 10 minute sessions on the mat my back was so much better! Give this a go, and keep using it… it’s amazing!

Good product
Although I did notice some difference in my back pain? I do think this product is overpriced and it’s quite hard to stay on the mat for the periods you need for it to make a difference

Just meh.
I don't understand what was supposed to be so great about this... I wanted to love it but it just doesn't do anything for me... my boyfriend loves it though... he finds it really relaxing... I just find it uncomfortable and itchy.

Good product
Great for relieving tension. Taking the time to do these things is fundamentally looking after yourself, it's stopping from the every day grind so it's positive in many ways. It took me a little getting use to. I started by wearing a t-shirt, then I was able to do this without on bare skin. It is relaxing, as crazy as that sounds. As mentioned in my previous post, this is quite an expensive product and if funds are tight and you would like to try there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Great for Back Ache
I've suffered from back ache and sleepless nights for a few years so was excited to try this. Although slightly sceptical at first, when used regularly this really does work, it just needs a little getting used to. Add this to your daily routine and you won't regret it!
