The bed of nails has been used by Indian mystics for centuries in the practice of healing and meditation and now it's been re-invented with a Scandinavian twist to give you a whole range of benefits, from soothing sleeplessness and easing stress to helping you re-balance after a long haul flight, alleviating aches and pains and even reducing the appearance of cellulite (the spikes help the body rid itself of toxins and increase blood flow, to assist the breakdown of stubborn fat groupings). It's also brilliant for easing neck and back pain, and can even have a positive impact on your complexion!
Far from being a scary instrument of torture, this Bed of Nails can have a rapid impact on those nagging aches and pains and help you get a heavenly night's sleep. The makers have cleverly combined Eastern wisdom with Scandinavian modernity to create a funky-looking acupressure mat that alleviates tension, stress and stubborn twinges - helping you to unwind, clear your mind and to feel more nimble. More than 8,800 non-toxic plastic spikes are arranged on the mat and work in a similar way to acupuncture needles, helping release endorphins (the body's own 'happiness' drug) and oyxtocin, to help you stay calm and relaxed.
The nails are made of 100% recycled non-toxic ABS plastic, the textile is cotton. The Bed of Nails should not be used in case of skin disease, haemophilia or the intake of anticoagulants.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Lay the Bed of Nails on the floor or on a mattress and slowly lower yourself onto it. Beginners should wear a light T-shirt or lay a sheet over the mat until your body and skin get used to the spikes. Initially lie on the Bed of Nails for 10 - 15 mins, and as you get used to the pressure you can build up to 20 - 30 mins.
Use as often as you need - preferably daily. Don't be alarmed if your skin stings a bit or feels warm and tingly, and it's perfectly safe to fall asleep for a while on the mat.
Leaning against it (rather than laying on top of the mat and pillow) is a lighter way to use Bed of Nails while you acclimatise (you put less weight on the spikes when you do). Place the mat/pillow at the back of your sofa, bed or armchair to experience the benefits while building up your tolerance.

Helped with Shoulder Pain
I was really sceptical about using this but was pleasantly surprised. First of all it was much smaller than I thought it would be and initially you don’t think it will take any pressure but after using for 20 mins daily for a week a pain in my shoulder that I had has nearly disappeared. Would definitely recommend this even just to for daily practice.

It's okay
I feel good after I use it, but I sometimes struggle to get past the initial feeling when I lay on it. It's a good product, just not sure if it's right for me.

Well received gift
I bought this for my dad for Christmas and was torn as to whether it was a good idea or not. He suffers from a lot of shoulder and back pain. Turns out it was a great idea, he absolutely loves it and is definitely helping with pain. He shows everyone who visits and offers them a go (even though the only colour I could get at the time was pink!). He has now requested the pillow for his birthday

Helped me relax
I've only used this a few times, but I'm really enjoying it already. I don't sleep well and so go through waves of anxiety, which has been particularly bad recently. I find this makes me slow down and definitely provides some relief. You need to build up to using it, but if you're a bad sleeper/anxious, this is definitely worth a go

Great for migraines
I suffer from migraines and theirs is wonderful to use while waiting for my medication to work. It does something to confuse my nerves or pain receptors… Basically it somehow spreads the pain and makes it less concentrated in the back of my head. A must have for me.
