Hold the wand horizontally and give the brush a wiggle from side to side and base to tip, to achieve maximum volume, length and lift. Hold the wand vertically and stroke upward to curl and separate. Layer generously, as you wish.

Very disappointing
Reading the reviews on here, I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the mascara I received specifically, but my experience was completely different from most people's. Some background info: I'm a huge fan of benefit mascaras - all of them work amazingly for me, which is why I was so excited when this one came out! Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment, as I didn't get much curl or length from it, found the formula extremely dry and non-buildable (if you try to apply more than one coat it gets really flaky and clumpy). It's very strange, but I just didn't get the 'new mascara' feeling I usually get when I open a new mascara when you apply and there's a lot of product, coating your lashes instantly and working like a dream. It was quite the opposite, I got that old mascara feeling when the product is quite dry and just doesn't want to coat your lashes properly anymore - I'd say it's down to the formula and the brush - it feels like it doesn't hold or apply much product at a time. If you're looking for a good mascara, I'd recommend benefit's BadGal Bang mascara! Avoid disappointments and skip this one!!

I'm a little bit closer to my lash extensions...
My lashes have been going to lash rehab in the current lockdown and I've really tried to nourish them in the hopes they'll grow long so I won't need lash extensions or they'll grow thicker so I can have a different style of lash. In the meantime, this mascara shows off all my hard work and really helps to elongate my lashes and make them look va-va voom! I love it, the only downside is it's incredibly hard to get off but as a skincare enthusiast, I know to double-cleanse every evening!

Very impressed
My first impressions of this mascara were really positive because I have never used a mascara before where I didn’t need to curl my eyelashes. It really did lift each individual lash, including the ones that usually do their own thing (even after being curled into place with a lash curler). I was shocked. It’s not the most long-wearing mascara that I have tried and it did transfer under my eyes and a little bit on to my brow bone so I would recommend applying powder to these areas to avoid this.

Length, Separation and deep colour
This is an instant wow factor with this one and honestly made my eyelashes look like extensions taking them all the way up to my eyebrows. I like the intensity of colour, the separation of the lashes achieved and the finish of it. Highly recommend applying to one eye before applying to the other. I have taken a star off due to personal reasons, I'm not a big fan of silicone flatter wands and being the ultra lazy gal that I am, I prefer to not having to try hard to remove the product, sadly, this one does need a little elbow grease to attempt to remove it.

Very surprised! New fave mascara.
Obviously, Benefit is famous for their mascaras and is super popular! I, however, have never actually found one I LOVE from their range so I was intrigued to see if this one was any different. First impressions, lovely smooth formula, the perfect amount of product come out onto the brush, did not clump on my lashes and builds really quickly. I found it gave the look of 2/3 coats of mascara in just 1 simple coat. The best thing about this mascara is the lashes do no look "crispy" I hate that! This gives you a full lash mascara look without the look of loads of product. It's a winner for me!

Not for me but so unique
I have found I need to stick to tubing formulas to find a truly smudge-proof mascara, and as much as I love the brush and effect I get from this, it does smudge on me. If you don't have issues with smudging like me, literally everything creases or smudges on these oily and fussy eyelids, then I know you'll love this. I adore the brush, it has this incredible 'grip' that I can't quite explain but it really allows me to get mascara really that to the base of my lashes. It's super black and really gives length to the lashes, sadly I don't find it holds curl, but again I've only ever found one mascara that truly does! I've never met anyone with as fussy lashes as me so I know I'm going to be the minority here. I know this mascara is magnetically beautiful, it just doesn't work for me.
