Ruined by pump packaging - better versions from other brands

The product itself is perfectly fine - it works out at a similar price per ml as The Ordinary version and the product is exactly the same. However, The Ordinary's dropper packaging is far easier to use. With the pump dispenser on this, it's far too easy for too much product to come out, and it doesn't always come out cleanly. I've had to keep the bottle away from all of my other products because the squalane will inevitably run down from the pump and leave the entire bottle greasy, with an oily pool underneath the bottle too. I'll stick with The Ordinary in the future.

My must-have skincare oil

I love this oil - and so does my skin. Its super lightweight and mega hydrating. The bottle lasts a long time, and I have just bought my second one. This is now a permanent fixture in my skincare routine.

The best

I use this daily just inside and along my hairline to stop the dry flaky scalp I get whenever the weather is cold. As soon as I have washed my hair I put on a few pumps along the front of my hair and massage it in before wrapping my hair in a towel. No more dry scalp. 100% gone and I have the softest hair where I put it on, with new silky smooth baby hairs coming in. I have 3C hair which is prone to extreme dryness in both very sunny and cold times, but this is wonderful. I haven’t tried it anywhere other than my hair but people seem to love it for lots of things. It goes a long way as you don’t need much to spread far.

Amazing!

I received this in the Sali Hughes cult beauty box and I’m sold! My skin has never felt so soft! I couldn’t recommend it more.

Like natural oils better

I guess I didn't really know what to expect from Squalane, but I won't be using it again. I used it on my arms which get really dry and it didn't seem to have any effect other than greasing it up. No penetrative moisture.

Great

I put this along my hair line and massage into my scalp straight after washing my hair. I used to get really dry, itchy skin along the hairline and this has disappeared 100%. I now have lots of super soft baby hairs and less frizz where I have been putting it. I have 3b hair.

No other squalane compares

I ran out of this a few months back and have tried a few others since. Nothing compares. Can’t wait to get this back on my shelf!

All I can say is I love it!

I have nothing bad to say about this oil, from my hair to body it is just been a dream, I can get little flare-ups of psoriasis and since using this oil I have not had one flare-up, I always apply this to wet skin and wet hair as its quite a dry oil. Personally, my body just absorbs it a lot better when my skin is wet. A must-have in your bathroom cabinet.

It's okay

I am a big fan of using oils. I think this one is moisturising although I wouldn't use it on its own on my dry, sensitive skin but find that it's nice to use it over my normal moisturiser. I've also used it when massaging my face and just generally all over after a shower. I do think it soaks in well which is nice. I'm not sure it really stands out as a performer on my shelf though. I think there are other oils e.g. plain Rosehip oil that works just as well if not better. Also, I do not like the smell - it literally smells like cooking oil to me...but on the whole its not bad - just not outstanding, which makes me think it's not £27 worthy...
