I bought this to use as a first cleanse. It’s so fragranced that not only does it sting your eyes, also irritates the rest of my face. Wasn’t expecting this from the brand! Can’t say it’s any good lifting my spf either. Disappointing

Nice but there’s better ones out there

I mainly use cleansing oils for eye makeup but this makes my eyes sting. I have therefore reverted to the midnight recovery cleansing oil by Kiehls. On the skin it’s fine though.

Contains perfumed essential oil

Sadly this strongly fragranced cleansing oil stung my face, caused inflamation of the skin and left my face very dry and sore. I strongly suspect that the fragranced essential oils used caused the problem. I found it too harsh for my face and after 3 uses it is now in the bin. I have no problems with DHC cleansing oil so I have returned to using it.

Lovely oil cleanser

I love an oil cleanser and this one as a really lovely smell which is not too strong, it emulsifies nicely when you dd water to it and also feel hydrating on the skin. Great first cleanse

Irritates eyes & doesn’t remove makeup

I have been using oil cleansers for years and thought I’d give this one a go. It simultaneously irritates my eyes whilst not taking my eye makeup off. It’s also really thin and greasy feeling - not a rich oil at all. Thumbs down.

Very nice 👌🏽

I bought this to try and I don't regret it one bit! I use it to cleanse and remove my makeup and it's so easy to use and doesn't leave my face feeling stripped at all.

Stings my eyes

Removes makeup up well but it stings when it gets in your eyes which is useless if trying to remove eye makeup. So it’s not enjoyable to use. Gutted I wasted my money.

Staple product

Softening, gentle and effective. This is a must have for me. It’s not majorly exciting, no real sensual experience but I find myself reaching for it all the time and feeling the need to repurchase. Great for when I’m feeling sensitive. Love in the morning before a make up day

Stings in the eyes, not worh it

This oil has an amount or a type of essential oil (not sure which one it is) that totally destroys the experience of removing makeup/SPF for me. I am not sure why brands keep putting perfume/fragrance/essential oils even into the cleaning products. It's not only unnecessary but also does more harm than good. It stings to the point I am worried it'll burn my eyes or something. Even though the oil itself is good, it removes impurities effectively when it doesn't get around the eyes. However, that's hard to achieve as it still gets into my eyes when rinsing the face. I won't repurchase it for sure.

Disappointing

Having just finished the Medik8 oil cleanser, I thought I’d give this a go. It’s a really thin, runny oil with quite a strong lavender smell. It spreads around the face nicely but barely emulsifies when I try to rinse it off. It leaves a layer on the skin and I find myself using my second cleanser for just that little bit longer to make sure my skin is properly clean. I also found out the hard way that this is definitely not meant for taking off eye makeup. It stings and burns if it gets anywhere near my eyes. I’ve ended up giving my bottle away to a friend who has used it before and likes it. For me, I’ll stick with the Medik8 oil!
