It’s a rich cream with somewhat chemical smell
It works very well in the winter thanks to rich formula with borage oil high up the inci list. But it Has a peculiar slightly peculiar scent that you need to put up with. It’s absorbing well despite being a thick cream.

Very moisturising
This is a great moisturizer if you *truly* have dry skin- as soon as you apply it, you can feel your skin become softer, more relaxed and plumper. HOWEVER, it is sticky and I find it does not go into the skin as much as I'd like, so I use this mostly at night.

So many times in the past couple of years has my skin reacted badly, first to Vitamin C serum (which I'd been using for years) and second to Niacinamide serum which I was trying for the first time. But this Caudalie SOS Intense Moisturising Cream saved the day and got rid of the painful itchy red blobs. Now I use it all the time and haven't touched the serums since, only hyaluronic acid.
