CeraVe’s Sa Smoothing Cleanser is designed to refine the texture of your skin, thwarting bumps and roughness with a perfectly balanced blend of salicylic acid, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. The foaming formula makes quick work of oil, dirt and make up too!
As with all CeraVe superheroes, at the core of this cleanser is a cocktail of three essential ceramides (lipids that are essentially the ‘glue’ of your skin barrier). Flooding your skin with these ceramides helps to keep that skin barrier in tip-top health, helping to maintain moisture levels and keep irritation, sensitivity and eczema at bay. Not for me
I wanted this to be my go to cleanser, but sadly it has ruined my skin. It has given me an acne flareup and leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. I regularly use acid to exfoliate my skin so don’t believe it to be a reaction to that. I’d recommend to be cautious using this cleanser if you have acne prone skin. I am going to now try the Paulas choice, clear cleanser.

Great affordable product
My dermatologist actually recommend this to me for cost saving as it is basically the same product as the higher end brand that a usually use. I mix this into my routine and it has the same effect, the higher end brand is more luxurious with texture and smell, but this is a fraction of the cost so I will continue to alternate and use both.
