Little bit too greasy

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’ve got combo skin and this is just a bit too oily for me. I’ve tried it with a few foundations and it makes my makeup slide off my face. Don’t think it’s the best for oily/combo skin but it’s a nice product for people with drier skin

So-so

Pros if this primer:  - glides on top of my multi-step skincare routine, no pilling - my tinted moisturizer also glides easily on top of this, no pilling or unevenness  - not chalky, not too shiny, not too matte, add powder if you want a more matte look - high spf is always welcome  - no perfume or sunscreen scent Cons: - Small bottle for the price and you need a decent amount for even coverage of the face. Perfect size for travel kit? - doesn’t do anything for fine lines or pores, no smoothing at all. It’s more like a nice sunscreen - have I mentioned it doesn’t do what it’s been described to do? No smoothing, no nothing, it’s just a fancy sun cream. Nothing wrong with fancy sun cream, but they should just call it that.  -

Love it

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have acne prone combo skin and use retinA regularly. My skin is very sensitive and I NEED sunscreen whenever I leave the house. It’s incredibly hard to find an spf that doesn’t get greasy or break me out or irritate my skin. I have the same issue with primers. They just clog my pores.  This product is literally the best spf primer I’ve ever used. Virtually undetectable after it soaks in. Doesn’t interact with makeup. Doesn’t get greasy. Doesn’t break me out, and has plenty of spf for regular wear.  My skin does look smooth when I use this, of course I think that’s due to my finishing powders. But this does not exaggerate texture or do anything weird! It doesn’t pill up or anything a regular primer or spf does on me. About to buy my second bottle now. I believe it’s worth the price tag. Even better if it’s on sale!  Skin care is my number one concern and this has made me finally stop hunting for SPF!   I don’t wear foundation anymore. Just this, concealer and powder. PERFECT FORMULA.

Not really as I want...

Not really as I wanted, too shiny and doesn't minimise pores

MEH!

It is expensive for not very much product and is not a mineral sunscreen it is a blend of both - so potentially can irritate sensitive skins. It leaves a sort of sheen on the skin. No white cast, but a sheen, so it isn't really a nice glow more a layer of shine. There is no way this looks good alone, but I do agree makeup sits nicely on top of it and it layers well. I am not going to repurchase this as it will last about 3 weeks with daily use as my main SPF, whereas my Paula's Choice lasts longer and costs less, doesn't contain mica or fragrance or chemicals.

Lightweight and so effective

I am becoming more and more impressed with the new skincare releases from Charlotte Tilbury. This skincare/makeup hybrid is a new staple in my routine now, as the perfect easy-to-wear SPF either alone or under makeup. It layers beautifully, I love the unique dispenser too as it's so quick and easy to click open, and even if I'm going makeup-free it really helps to give a glow and evenness to my skin. I've been using this during the UK heatwave and haven't had a single issue, just make sure you're applying two-fingers of product and reapplying during the day to keep your skin protected!

Not as good as Supergoop

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this hoping it would be like Supergoop unseen but in factor 50. Unfortunately, it is a little shiny/greasy looking for me so I don’t love using it on hot days. The tint also goes a little streaky. I will save it for when my skin is dry when I’m sure it will be lovely. Or for under makeup when it gives a nice base and glows.

Probably suit dry skins

Honestly think there was too much hype. I was expecting a satin flawless coverage. Instead there was loads of shine! Made me look oily. Once foundation was on the shine seeped through. Reduced the look of pores slightly but once worn for an hour or so my foundation melted and could see the pores. It has a sticky feel to it as well. You only get 30ml and personally I find it too expensive for a primer
