Shade 4.5

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

After reading conflicting reviews, I still decided to take the plunge. I'm an extremely oily NC25-30 girl in MAC and it was just gut instinct to go with shade 4.5, and I'm glad I did. It was light in the bottle but it oxidized beautifully to match me perfectly. One thing though, it dries really fast so make sure to work in sections. I rarely do full coverage but I tried on this one, and it was cakey, or maybe just how I applied it. Overall, I'm pleased with the Magic Foundation. Estee Lauder Double Wear is so much more flat matte; this CT MF is not. I don't count it as a holy grail, but it is up there among the top of my best foundations for sure.

Very disappointed. The coverage isn't good, just dull.

Not bad but...

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have very dry skin, but on my T-zone it is kinda combination. It doesn’t go on too heavy but it oxidizes pretty badly. Not pretty. It stays up to 5 hrs tops on my skin. You need to touch up every few hours I recommend. Not that bad overall!

Great product AND cruelty free

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

It is hard to find a good quality cruelty free product. I just tried this and it's great! The other great option is Bare Minerals. I have combination skin and I barely get shine on my nose after a long workday. PS: one thing I don't like though is that Cult beauty is using a confusing method in terms of shades - I am still not sure I found the same colour that I wanted from the original Charlotte Tilbury website.

Almost perfect

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

It works on my skin. Normal with an oily T-zone. The coverage for my acne scars is just ok, still needs concealer. The shade 3.5 matches my skin tone perfectly. Fair to light with neutral/yellow undertone.

Not one for an oily skin...

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I had used this product on the odd occasion previously as my friend purchased it. Although it gives a lovely finish, I didn't feel it had staying power throughout the summer months with my oily skin.

The foundation is easy to apply and spread. Covers any problem on your face.

not a cult for me

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

For me it's not too bad, but there are many other (cheaper) foundations. You can feel the foundation on your skin however the coverage is between light and medium.

love it

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

It's perfect, goes on matte while not drying out my skin. More often then not I've diluted my foundations with moisturizer so it doesn't go on too heavy but this is ideal for my preference. I have normal mostly clear skin with some redness around my nose and 1 pump is ideal for me to get some coverage while still looking like I don't have any foundation.

Not so magical coverage

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I REALLY wanted to love this foundation. The lipsticks from this makeup designer are gorgeous - luscious and long lasting. However, this foundation did nothing for my face except draw attention to large pores, and the broken capillary I was trying to cover up. Despite the colour match and the feel of the foundation on my skin being perfect, the coverage is way too light to call this product magic foundation. Such a pity, because the Magic night cream, the primer and the other products I have tried are excellent.
