1. Hold the brush horizontally and use the flat side to push upwards and coat the lashes.
2. Twist the wand and brush through with the diamond-bristled side to lift and comb each individual lash from root to tip for full, fanned-out lashes.
3. Wiggle the bristles from side to side, base to tip, to separate, lift and define the lashes. Use the wand vertically to stroke upwards and precision paint the lashes in the inner and outer corners.
4. Turn the brush vertically and paint bottom lashes individually.

I didn't check the colour and was very disappointed with myself. Great for redheads - not for olive skinned women with black hair hahah.

Really flattering
This is a burgundy mascara but looks more brown than red. It’s really flattering on blue eyes and not so harsh as black mascara. I use brown mascara more often than black and really like this. Maybe someone who likes really black lashes won’t like this as much.

It isn't black!
Maybe it's me, but I find it pretty much impossible to find a decent mascara that isn't black. They may be labelled soot black, space black, night black, blackest black or whatever, but I think it's safe to say the mascara zeitgist is black. Which is why it's bizarrely exciting to find a mascara that's actually a little adventurous with colour and is also designed to be flattering as opposed to attention-seeking. As someone with neutral to cool, very fair colouring, I confess I have a dodgy relationship with Pillowtalk as a range, because it's a definite peachy-orange (not pink0 on me (*is bitter*). BUT this mascara is a sort of coppery-brown which it looks subtly spectacular on green eyes. The delivery mechanism isn't something I'd necessarily choose (I find it's best to ignore the paddle bit and just comb it on) but that doesn't matter to me, because the formula is fine, it's lengthening, it holds a relatively long time, it doesn't smudge (on me) and ...lets face it, these are details because... the colour! If you have green eyes - I'd say, this is certainly worth a punt.

Such a unique colour to make in a mascara that I was a little nervous to try it but I’m so glad I did! It’s not only pretty but it compliments my blue/green eyes and makes them pop. It suits my mums brown eyes too. Its long lasting and didn’t flake or crumble or transfer onto my lids. Also gave my lashes length and curl. I loved it so much I bought the matching eyeliner too!
