Apply to dry hair. Load up the small end of the brush with powder. Use free hand to pull hair flat/taut against head and press brush down firmly into roots, starting from scalp and working out (do not use sweeping motion). Apply more powder as needed. To extend highlights, use the side edge of the small brush.

This really is the best root cover up I have found. No mess, easy to see what you’re doing and lasts a good while. I’ve tried two different colours (what can I say, my hair changes colour with the seasons!) and both were equally effective.
