Founded in Parma in 1983 by the Bolatti family, Davines Group started out as a research laboratory – formulating high-end hair care for cosmetic companies worldwide. After a decade spent honing its expertise, the group launched its own line of tress-saving heroes and Davines came to fruition. Original, sustainable and mindful, this quirkily cool range of cleansers, conditioners, treatments and masks has become a cult classic and brings some Italian style to your shower. Your hair will be saying ‘bravissimo!’… it if could talk, of course.
An intense cosmetic treatment to reinforce blonde tones, Davines’ Heart of Glass Intense Treatment strengthens the hair fibre, helping to prevent breakage, for nourished hair, immediately brightened.
Part of Davines ‘Heart of Glass’ edit – which derives its name from a famous song from the 80s, sang by a very blonde artist who has become an icon – this collection of products are designed to highlight the beauty of blonde hair, both natural and bleached, lightened and dyed; or hair that has been exposed to sunlight, the frequent use of the brushes or straighteners, all elements that could weaken its fibre. On a mission to preserve the planet’s vital biodiversity, each hair care ‘family’ (Heart of Glass, NOUNOU and so on), represents an extract under threat, so by choosing to use this shampoo, you’re supporting the globe and its varied inhabitants – from plants to people!

Good mask
This makes my long blonde hair softer. It’s not a purple mask but it doesn’t dull my hair like other masks.

'Hearting' Davine's Heart of Glass
I have naturally blonde hair that I get highlighted every 3/4 months. I have used all the products in the Davine's 'Heart of Glass' range which is great overall for blonde hair in that it helps retain your brightness without depositing colour. To be clear, although the shampoo and conditioner are both purple, they do not deposit colour which personally I prefer since for us natural-ish (!) blondes, purple colour depositing products can often leave your hair too ashy and thus prone to that ghastly green-tinge 'khaki' effect. Again, this intense mask - which is a creamy white - manages to brighten without colour deposit. You only need a small amount so a little jar actually lasts a while. In fact, because I find this conditioner in the same range too 'heavy' (it can cause hairline/scalp to break out), I now just buy the intense treatment to use as conditioner for my long hair.
