A seriously clever cleanser, Dr. Dennis Gross’ Alpha Beta Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel gently removes excess oil, make up and surface impurities while also exfoliating away dulling, uneven cells to diminish dryness and smooth out the appearance of pores and fine lines. How does it reap such miraculous results, you might well ask? It’s all down to gently exfoliating ingredients and moisture-retaining additions. Dr. Dennis Gross’ signature Alpha Beta alpha hydroxy acids (including glycolic, mandelic and azelaic acids) gently slough away dead, dulling cells on the skin’s surface, uncovering fresh radiance while also minimising the appearance of pores. Soap and sulphate free, the vegan formula also features snow ear mushrooms, a (slightly oddly named) natural super hydrator. Willow bark, smoothing farnesol and barosma betullina (a flowering plant native to South Africa) work together to remove impurities, eliminate bacteria and decongest pores to further minimise their appearance.

Thorough, but gentle cleanser
This is my go-to cleanser. I use it after removing a bit of eye makeup with a cream cleanser and this takes off the rest no problem. It foams slightly when wet and leaves the skin feeling super clean. The only downside is that it does leave my skin feeling a little tight after washing so absolutely needs to be followed up with a moisturizer straight away. It seems to work well on my skin, I never get breakouts while I’m using this. Worth the price, I keep coming back to it.

Lovely daily wash
I don't use make up so cannot say if it is good for taking it off. What I can say is that for my 41 years old normal skin it is gentle. I use it every day and some days I use it with the Medik8 R-Retinoate Intense with no issue or irritation whatsoever. Also I have less PMS pimples since using it.

I feel like I’ve tried ever cleanser known to man. I’ve struggled with acne and under the skin bumps and finally I have found an absolute fave cleanser! I have repurchased this cleanser around 4/5 times now. I have sensitive skin & It doesn’t make my skin dry but cleanses really well after makeup remover. (I only use this as an evening cleanse) Gives a beautiful glow to the skin afterwards. I don’t get under the skin bumps anymore this cleanser is amazing! Love it!!! Will continue to repurchase and won’t be trying anything else

Cleans great but not perfect
I have balanced combo/Oily skin and whilst this is a great cleanser, if I used it as my sole cleanser, it dried my skin out. Because I have found products I can use every day without this tight feeling, its a pass from me.
