Lovely texture, awful cast!

There are lots of positives for this product: the texture is like a souffle or whipped product and it applies like a dream, drying down to a satin sheen. Possibly the best finish to a sunscreen I have tried so far! But the white cast is so awful, it negates anything good. I had a white ring around my face and even my boyfriend noticed I looked 'like a ghost', despite rubbing in for ages. Such a shame, but I will keep this product to use over holiday sunburn a la cricket players!

Enjoy the sun!

I am a huge fan of the Dr Gross line of products.  I purchased this cream before a summer holiday in a very hot climate and it was amazing!  Easy to apply, not thick or clogging, high protection factor.  I use it not only on my face but my neck and decollete.  No sun burn, no dark spots, very nourishing.  I have repurchased it again and have gifted it to friends as well.  Highly recommend.

Loovvveee!

I really really like this SPF from Dr Dennis Gross. Other SPF brands I have used, have either been too heavy, greasy, leaving a white cast behind or clashing with my oily t-zone. This SPF leaves no white cast, is not heavy or sticky on the skin and works really well with my combination skin. The SPF is supposed to be for dark spot sun defence, so am looking forward to seeing it work towards preventing any other dark spots!

Disappointing

I am a huge fan of DDG products. I was really looking forward to this SPF as I struggle with pigmentation. I wear SPF daily. This SPF left a heavy feeling on my skin and the smell was off-putting. I am pale but even I had to rub this in well not to look like a ghost. For me, it was how it felt on my skin that was the deal-breaker like if caked in too much foundation is how I’d describe it. I used it two days running before giving up on it and going back to my other SPF.

Favourite Mineral SPF

I absolutely love the texture, the fact that it not only prevents sun damage but also gets rid of dark spots is such a massive bonus! It's difficult to find a mineral SPF that also has such beneficial ingredients. I've used it every day for the past 6 weeks and it's definitely helped in reducing pigmentation issues on the forehead and it seems to be evening out skin tone and fine lines. To get rid of the white cast I mix in Drunk Elephant's Sunshine Drops to creates the most wonderful texture that really plumps up the skin and gives a good glow - can't recommend this combo enough!

Works well

You need to really blend it on your face to avoid the white hue. But effective on my skin against pigmentation/dark spot.

Good, but leaves a white cast

Overall the texture feels nice, it stays well even when sweating in the heat. But it does make me look weirdly pale with a blue undertone, and requires makeup on top. The description of the product is misleading.

Purple hue

Medium weight, not too heavy but not watery at all. Need to blend in really well because if not an cast is purpley blue colour remains on the surface of the skin. I used after normal moisturiser and before foundation. Ok but not amazing.

Awful white cast

This is probably one of the worst SPFs I have ever used. I have relatively pale skin but this leaves an awful white cast behind. Even with make-up over the top, I looked ashen all day. It also doesn't play well under make-up and my foundation turned patchy throughout the day - which I've never experienced before. Absolutely not worth the money.
