Now available in a deluxe-sized 'midi' of 10ml, this super-charged, silicone-free formulation features 1% retinol (it's potent!), alongside a fruit cocktail of extracts such as passionfruit, apricot, kale and winter cherry (not to mention firming peptides and essential fatty acids)! Promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production, this intensive treatment minimises visibility of fine lines and dark spots to reveal vibrant, healthy-looking skin. Probably the most wanted skin care range ever, Drunk Elephant is worth the hype – and then some... Founded by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to formulate products without any ‘fillers’, this all-star collection is powered by biocompatible actives – a mix of synthetic and plant-derived extracts – that skin recognises and knows what to do with. And, because of their ingredient-elimination philosophy, you won’t find any of the following ‘Suspicious 6’ – drying alcohols, silicones, SLS, chemical screens, essential oils or fragrances/dyes – so you can ‘reset’ your complexion and help both your skin and your tresses to flourish like never before.
WE'RE SORRY BUT WE CANNOT SHIP DRUNK ELEPHANT TO AUSTRALIA, CANADA, HONG KONG, MALAYSIA, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, SOUTH KOREA OR USA
Ideal for all those who're already acquainted with the wonders of retinol (this can trigger irritation and peeling if your skin is sensitive, or if you're new to the retinol realm), Drunk Elephant’s game-changing A-Passioni Retinol Cream Midi is the perfect addition to your evening-time routine.
A powerhouse complex, this potent, silicone-free formulation of 1% retinol boasts comforting and nourishing ingredients (passionfruit, apricot, kale, winter cherry extracts, skin-firming peptides and essential fatty acids), to give lazy skin cells a boot up their bottoms! This product means business - promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production while reducing depth of wrinkles and improving signs of damage - and with continual use, it rejuvenates cells to reveal über vibrant, revitalised skin. Like the rest of the Drunk Elephant range, Tiffany advises that A-Passioni Retinol Cream Midi can be applied and mixed with any other Drunk Elephant products to make your own signature 'smoothie' (and buffer the strength if your face needs to build up its tolerance). Suggested cocktails are to mix 'A-Passioni' with {C-Firma} in the daytime (always followed up with a broad-spectrum SPF to shield from sunshine!), or to combine with {Lala Retro Whipped Cream} at night if your face is reactive or you've never used a retinol before. Proceed with caution if your skin is sensitive - do a patch test to assess your cells' tolerance, then use sparingly to begin with - building up the frequency over the course of several weeks.

Apply a pea-sized amount or less to a clean and dry face. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night and then finally up to every night (as tolerated). Proceed with caution if you're sensitive or new to retinol - this may induce redness/irritation to begin with and you may incur some flakiness until your skin acclimatises. Avoid using the night before a big event/special occasion (unless you're already a retinol addict)!
Avoid applying to eye area and use a broad spectrum SPF during the day.

Smooth
Along with the hydro gel no irritation as generally perceived in case of retinol. Very smooth application without any peeling. I’ve been applying alternate days along with one pump of the gel. Skin is smoother the next day.

Not bad
My first foray into retinol was with The Ordinary 0.5 in squalane. The retinol made a big difference to my skin but my oily skin hates squalane so I tried Sunday Riley A+. Absolutely love that, the texture and its effects. But, too expensive right now so I’m trying this one. Verdict: nowhere near as strong as they say, on skin that is used to retinol. I use it everyday and it’s fine. It works well enough but not sure I will repurchase. Serum? Meh. And both far, far too small.

Great product, but not worth the $$
While it was a great way to start experimenting with DE products, the size of the B-Hydra was so incredibly small that I only got 5 uses out of it. For anyone who is considering this product, I suggest purchasing the full-sized product since both products are great and well worth spending extra bucks.

Meh
Glad these were only mini/trial sizes so I didn’t spend too much money to try them. Have no idea what the B-Hydra is supposed to do? It’s a bit sticky and made no difference to my skin at all. The A-Passioni, even when mixed with moisturiser burned my face. I was red and puffy for about a week after using once so will not be purchasing again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Deliciously decadent.
This feels utterly luxurious. A tiny amount goes such a long way! I don’t know how but maybe because it is sooo creamy. I use it neat and my skin feels great. Only been using it for a couple of months and not sure if it’s reduced wrinkles TBH but... because it is cruelty free, so lovely to use and only a small amount is needed, I will stick with this, regardless.

Love this duo
I've been using this for about a month and I absolutely love both these products. My skin is generally dry and acne-prone and was initially worried that it may cause reactions but thankfully my skin had no irritations and I'm starting to see a difference in my skin texture and complexion. I used it as instructed - slowly building into my routine and now use it about 3 times a week. It was my first ever purchase from DE and the size of the products is a good way of trialing out for yourself

Not sure
I think it’s too early to tell yet, I still need at least 1-2 days break in between uses as it’s strong, I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference in my skin other than slight evenness improvement. I’ve heard it can take 12 weeks to see improvements with retinol and I’ve used it for approx 5 or 6 weeks. Don’t get this thinking you’ll see results straight away!

Efficient and chemically elegant
Skin condition: oily and dehydrated, a little bit sensitive & acne-prone.How I use it: as suggested by the brand I mix it with B-Hydra serum, twice a week (all the others nights I use either glycolic acid or just a moisturizing lotion & a cream). How it worked for me: no irritation or visible peeling whatsoever, the skin is getting glower and better hydrated, no acne, just clear & well taken care of skin.
