Ideal for all those who're already acquainted with the wonders of retinol (this can trigger irritation and peeling if your skin is sensitive, or if you're new to the retinol realm), Drunk Elephants game-changing A-Passioni Retinol Cream is the perfect addition to your evening-time routine.
A powerhouse complex, this potent, silicone-free formulation of 1% retinol boasts comforting and nourishing ingredients (passionfruit, apricot, kale, winter cherry extracts, skin-firming peptides and essential fatty acids), to give lazy skin cells a boot up their bottoms! This product means business - promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production while reducing depth of wrinkles and improving signs of damage - and with continual use, it rejuvenates cells to reveal aber vibrant, revitalised skin. Like the rest of the Drunk Elephant range, Tiffany advises that A-Passioni Retinol Cream can be applied and mixed with any other Drunk Elephant products to make your own signature 'smoothie' (and buffer the strength if your face needs to build up its tolerance). Suggested cocktails are to mix 'A-Passioni' with {C-Firma} in the daytime (always followed up with a broad-spectrum SPF to shield from sunshine!), or to combine with {Lala Retro Whipped Cream} at night if your face is reactive or you've never used a retinol before. Proceed with caution if your skin is sensitive - do a patch test to assess your cells' tolerance, then use sparingly to begin with - building up the frequency over the course of several weeks.

Ok, but not blown away
I needed s small travel sized retinol so I opted for DE. I’ve used retinol for a few years and this one is fine but I probably wouldn’t bother repurchasing. The cream sunk in fine and felt nice to use but it didn’t leave my skin looking revived like my usual retinol. I appreciate everyone’s skin is different though, this just didn’t work amazingly on my skin.

Amazing but use with caution
I have been using retinol for the last 2 years and have tried many brands of retinol and this is the best, my skin looks so bright and fresh!! But as the reviews say, it is strong! If you've not used retinol before do not ignore the advice about building up usage. Start with once every two weeks, then one week and see how your skin reacts! The key is to not over do it, or your skin will get crispy!

Did the job
It’s a great product and it works but I’ve tried better ones that are cheaper and more effective.

Chemical burns
I started experiencing chemical burns on my face and peeling of the skin. I immediately cut out all my skincare unsure of what could have caused it. I then reintroduced each product individually with my daily moisturiser. When I introduced this retinol product, with just my daily moisturiser, over one occasion, I then experienced the chemical burns again. I’ve never had this problem with any other retinol product and avoid using retinol with any other highly reactive products i.e vitamin c or salicylic acids. I don’t tend to have sensitive skin and have used a wide range of skincare products without experiencing a reaction. I unfortunately wouldn't take my chances with this product. It took a little over a week to fully recover and even then I've re cut out some of my usual skincare items until my skin barrier fully recovers. There are plenty of retinols that have worked for me and caused no issues and for a cheaper price. Some examples are the inky list retinol and pixi retinol tonic.

An essential skincare item
I have been using Drunk Elephant products for two years now and there is no comparison to anything else I have tried. This retinol is a beautiful product where you only need a tiny amount to make all the difference, without it I experience a lot more breakouts and blemishes.

High hopes
So far so good. Previously I always used oil based retinols, like the Ordinary's, and I wanted to try a cream finally. The cream is pleasant feeling, and I had no irritation. I have been using it only for a few weeks, and retinol need much more time to make serious results, but so far I love it, and I have high hopes.

Good retinol
I like this product, and notice that my skin looks healthier with regular use. I use it every other night and always alongside hydrating serums and a rich moisturiser, and I find it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
