Ideal for all those who're already acquainted with the wonders of retinol (this can trigger irritation and peeling if your skin is sensitive, or if you're new to the retinol realm), Drunk Elephants game-changing A-Passioni Retinol Cream is the perfect addition to your evening-time routine.
A powerhouse complex, this potent, silicone-free formulation of 1% retinol boasts comforting and nourishing ingredients (passionfruit, apricot, kale, winter cherry extracts, skin-firming peptides and essential fatty acids), to give lazy skin cells a boot up their bottoms! This product means business - promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production while reducing depth of wrinkles and improving signs of damage - and with continual use, it rejuvenates cells to reveal aber vibrant, revitalised skin. Like the rest of the Drunk Elephant range, Tiffany advises that A-Passioni Retinol Cream can be applied and mixed with any other Drunk Elephant products to make your own signature 'smoothie' (and buffer the strength if your face needs to build up its tolerance). Suggested cocktails are to mix 'A-Passioni' with {C-Firma} in the daytime (always followed up with a broad-spectrum SPF to shield from sunshine!), or to combine with {Lala Retro Whipped Cream} at night if your face is reactive or you've never used a retinol before. Proceed with caution if your skin is sensitive - do a patch test to assess your cells' tolerance, then use sparingly to begin with - building up the frequency over the course of several weeks.

Love it
Only been using it a few days and the difference in my skin is amazing. It’s clearer and firmer. I’m a bit gutted really because now I’m deffo gonna have to buy the full size! The only draw back is the price but it does work so I will be repurchasing.

Great Product
I love this cream. I can see an improvement in my fine lines and it has started to even my skin tone. The only downside is that when I started to use it, it gave me eczema. It doesn’t do that anymore, which is great!

Just ok
I bought the small tube and it lasted about 2.5 months. It is an oily texture and doesn't absorb fast (i have to rub it for a few minutes which is very boring). I also hate the smell of this cream - it's something between vinegar and I don't know what else. It has a yellow colour that stains my skin and makes me look like I am sick (my skin is fair and the difference is obvious). Of course, the colour is not a big issue because I only use it before bed, but it's still annoying. Now onto the results: it has dehydrated my skin although I am not new to retinol. This made my fine lines look worse. In the morning I use 2 different serums and 2 creams (all from Estee Lauder) which I reapply during the day but my skin feels tight and stiff. I also use hydrating and nourishing masks, my skin is the same, dry and uncomfortable. My skin is oily so I am not used to applying creams 3-4 times a day. I've always complained about greasiness but now I realise how bad it is to feel dry and dehydrated. I don't see the improvement I noticed with La Roche Posay or Estee Lauder retinol (even the Inkey List retinol was better), although they contain 0.3% retinol. I won't buy it again. Tonight I'll start using Sunday Riley's retinol and I hope for better results. I really want to try more products from DE, but maybe the small sizes. I'm glad I didn't buy the big a-passioni tube!

This is the holy grail of skincare
I love every product of Drunk Elephant but this is by far is the best! One application and you see a different fresh face in the morning. I recommend this product 100% to all my fellow women out there. Just buy it and see. Just be careful to use it slowly use a small amount each time and work it up.

Disappointed
I really like Drunk Elephant and I've tried more or less all the products, but A-passioni is completely useless from my point of view. It's pretty delicate considering the concentration of retinol, but I've not seen any change in my skin and I'm using it religiously since September. My skin is in good condition and usually when I introduce a new active in my routine I notice an improvement or some breakout.

Love this product. Really great smell and feels fab on the skin - not too thick and heavy. 5/5

Amazing - got rid of my skin pigmentation
I’ve never found anything that actually helps fade my skin pigmentation until I tried this retinol cream. It has faded massively and is barely noticeable. I’ve had it for almost 10 years so this feels like a miracle product. I started using it once a week then after 3 weeks I moved on to using the retinol 3-4 times a week. My skin did feel sore for a couple of weeks once upping my dose so I used with Drunk Elephant polypeptide cream and it calmed down. My skin felt so so soft and tight after the first few weeks and it continues to feel soft and tight which has improved my confidence so much. I have had comments on how nice my skin looks and how much my skin pigmentation has gone down, I have a natural glow and don’t feel the need to wear any makeup. It is worth every penny!!

First time using Retinol
Since the pandemic started, I have upped my skincare regime big time. Retinol was the final thing on my list but I was hesitant on which one I should buy. There's like a million reviews on the internet. After a reputable skincare influencer suggested this I took the dive and ordered one. After 1 use, in the morning I noticed a minor skin purge. A couple of blackheads which were not removed from regular facials or from specific products- I also use Paula's Choice exfoliator regularly too. This retinol did exactly what it says. With regular use, my blackheads have decreased and my skin is a lot smoother and clearer too. (I also put a tiny bit under my eyes to help with the darkness)
