Like the rest of the Drunk Elephant range, Tiffany advises that A-Passioni Retinol Cream can be applied and mixed with any other Drunk Elephant products to make your own signature 'smoothie' (and buffer the strength if your face needs to build up its tolerance). Suggested cocktails are to mix 'A-Passioni' with {C-Firma} in the daytime (always followed up with a broad-spectrum SPF to shield from sunshine!), or to combine with {Lala Retro Whipped Cream} at night if your face is reactive or you've never used a retinol before. Proceed with caution if your skin is sensitive - do a patch test to assess your cells' tolerance, then use sparingly to begin with - building up the frequency over the course of several weeks.

Loving this
Like some other reviewers, the first time I used this my skin peeled (mildly) and I had some redness. But I now find that if I use a pea sized amount and follow with a moisturizer, it's absolutely fine. I've had it around six weeks and use about three times a week. I've seen really good results on my forehead and in general skin smoothness and radiance. I had used Luna Oil by SR before and it's definitely stronger. Will definitely repurchase this (though it lasts for ages). I had bought the A313 retinol cream from France (the one that replaced Avibon) and I would say the results are identical. Though this is easier to use because of the texture

Great!
Being the first time when I tried something with retinol I was a bit afraid about all the side effects moreover after reading some comments. After the first application, my skin got much smoother and glowy. So far I think it's a great cream.

A really good Retinol
If your skin responds well to Retinol, then you'll absolutely love this. Contrary to some of the reviews here, I find it quite mild. I prefer stronger mixtures for overnight use, but this one is great (for me!) during the day. Perhaps if you have lighter skin you might want to be careful with daytime use, but I have no issues there. I have mature, dry skin, but I noticed only a bit of peeling the first 2 or 3 times I used it. To anyone having sensitivity issues with it, I suggest easing it in, using a *tiny* amount - like less than a quarter of that they suggest - and diluting it with a bit of your favorite oil.

Try a sample first
I get it, this is retinol. But I've been using retinoids (TO and Sunday Riley) for a year and was not ready to get red, blotchy, bumpy and flaking skin overnight. There's no living place on my face.

Don’t know about this one
I really have doubts. My skin gets sensitive after using this and for me that’s not the problem. The problem is that my makeup the next day is a nightmare to put on.

Beware of red skin
I have to agree with Ciara (and others): this retinol cream destroyed my skin. It was red, flaky, and super sensitive (even touching the skin was unpleasant). I used the cream very sparingly and waited for two weeks to see if the peeling would stop and new skin would appear, but no luck. My skin went back to normal after a week of discontinuing use and calming Avene creams. I am used to retinols (I used a couple of retinols from other companies for years) so I didn't expect such a strong reaction. My advice is to try a sample first and see if your skin can tolerate it.

So bad!
I was really looking forward to trying this as I had read great reviews about it, and I absolutely love the TLC serum, B-hydra serum and Marula oil from this range. However, this has destroyed my skin!! I followed the directions exactly. I used it sparingly and with the B-hydra serum once a week, and SPF50 everyday. My skin first started to peel off, then it became so sensitive and red and sore, I have had to stop using everything and switch to Zelens recovery balm. It also cause huge boils on my cheeks and chin that are not healing well. I would not recommend this product at all!!

1st Timer
This is my first experience with retinol. I was very nervous about adding retinol into my skincare regime. It’s been 3 weeks and I’ve been taking it slow using it only twice a week. Good news is there is no redness, peeling which is a good thing. Best applied with moisturiser for ease of application. No visible results yet, but so far so good. Will keep on going.

Nice retinol cream
I do like this cream, it absorbs quickly, no irritation. I normally use some facial oil right afterwards, eg Marula oil or Sunday RileyJjuno oil. However, I can’t comment on any skin improvement as frankly speaking I personally never really see any caused by any retinol skin care on me....but most likely it’s just me.
