Everybody in the Cult’s getting tipsy! Serious skin, hair and body care heroes that don’t take themselves super seriously, Drunk Elephant’s rise to the top of the industry pops has been (rightfully!) meteoric. Founded by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to formulate products without any ‘fillers’, this all-star collection is powered by biocompatible actives – a mix of synthetic and plant-derived extracts – that skin recognises and knows what to do with. And, because of their ingredient-elimination philosophy, you won’t find any of the following ‘Suspicious 6’ – drying alcohols, silicones, SLS, chemical screens, essential oils or fragrances/dyes – so you can ‘reset’ your complexion and help both your skin and your tresses to flourish like never before.

This super-potent vitamin C day serum is brimming with antioxidants, essential nutrients and fruit enzymes, all of which work together to firm and brighten the appearance of skin and minimise signs of ageing.
A super-potent concoction starring a host of powerful antioxidants,Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Day Serum stars 15% pure L-ascorbic acid (a potent form of vitamin C), 0.5% ferulic acid and 1% vitamin E - supported by a host of antioxidants and enzymes - which work to neutralise aggressors and replenish precious lipids to diminish visibility of lines and pigment patches. Also starring pumpkin ferment and pomegranate extracts, the serum enzymatically dissolves dead surface skin cells for a smoother-than-smooth texture. Finally, a sodium hyaluronate cross-polymer quickly penetrates skin and provides intense hydration. The result? A noticeably brighter, more radiant complexion, with signs of ageing and photo damage minimised. The airtight (and cute!) container also helps the formula to stay super-fresh.

Exhilarating!
High quality product. A little tingly on the skin but did not cause any irritation. I keep buying it as I feel it’s essential to my skin care regimen.

Not irritating
I tried out a few vitamin C serums based on L ascorbic and this is the best so far. It does not irritate if you introduce it slowly by starting every other day. What I most like about this one is that it is in an airtight pump - Vit C oxidizes very quickly when exposed to air, so that was a good idea. One thing to note for those with fair complexion - it changes the tone of the skin when putting it on, so be aware if it is something you’d consider.

Not impressed
It just doesn”t work for me. Leaves my skin very sticky, i just don t like the feeling after I use it. It caused a breakout on my jaw line. I still use it, but I don”t see any improvement for my skin. I read so many good reviews befor purchase it and I really had high expectations. Definitly doesn t worth the money, it is very pricey for what it does.

Love
I am currently in my second bottle of this and I highly recommend it. I spent approximately two weeks without vitC before repurchasing and the difference was visible even to my boyfriend who kindly commented that my skin in the morning used to look more vibrant and also asked how I got my luminosity back once I started using it again. Overall, my skin absorbs this instantly, it doesn’t break me out and my skin is more hydrated and luminous when I use it. For your reference, I used to have acne but nowadays my skin is dry/combo and I only get breakouts seldom. (I keep it in the fridge and I haven't faced oxidisation problems so far).

Don't waste your money
It is a gel that smells horrible and leaves the skin sticky. The glow it gives is because the product is not absorbed, but creates a sticky layer on the skin. It is definitely a waste of money.

Love the texture
I honestly think this is the best vitamin C i have used. I love the texture. This is non irritating to my skin. I love it. I would buy again, the only down side is the price.

Triggered cystic spots
It was only after removing this from my routine, and after repurchasing twice, that I realised it was the cause of break outs on my cheeks and jaw. I feel annoyed at myself for persisting so long on the basis of the hyped up marketing. I have relatively balanced and not particularly sensitive skin. Also, two of my bottles oxidised after around three months. I do however enjoy using the C Tango eye cream.

Love it
I’ve seen improvements in the brightness and general healthiness of my skin. I use in the morning after I cleanse my face. You must make sure to let it sink in before you apply moisturisers etc! It’s relatively tacky when you first apply it, (as any good vit c is) pat it in and let your skin drink it up! The stickiness goes if you use it properly.

Shine city on oily/combination skin types :(
I feel really torn over this product as I think my skin has seen big improvements since using it in both acne scarring and brightness, but it applies horribly and looks terrible when actually on your skin. I bought it as part of the ‘time to wake up’ mini pack and I’m so glad I did instead of going for the full bottle. It feels sticky on your skin all day and leaves me looking so shiny and greasy, maybe it’s different on dry skin types but on my combination skin this is NOT a nice subtle dewy glow, it legit makes your face look sweaty. No amount of powder or makeup seems to help either it’s like it never absorbs. It also does smell a bit weird but I wouldn’t say it’s as noticeable for me as some of the other reviews mention. Despite it stating it’s for morning use I have started wearing it at night instead as I can’t cope with how it feels on my face during the day. I will look for other products with similar ingredients that apply better once this bottle has run out as like I say, the results are great but the application is just a no go for me sadly.
