My first

This was my first try at using sunscreen separately in my regime. I usually just opt for a foundation with sunscreen in it but recently, I’ve been using retinol so the advice is to use spf 30 as a minimum. It is white and very slightly grainy but it goes on nicely, melts into the skin and sits nicely under make up. I have worn it when going to bootcamp outside so got very sweaty and being ginger, I thought I would definitely burn but no. My skin didn’t burn, the cream didn’t turn white with my sweat and it didn’t sting my eyes or make them water. A little goes a long way, the packaging is fab and the smell is divine. I would buy again xx

Will not repurchase..

I was really expecting more.. the only reason I still use it is that it has good ingredients. It leaves while crumbs on face after applying , so I mix it with DE bronze serum, then the whiteness is gone. But like others already wrote, the sweating face is always sensible with this sunscreen. I use it only in beach/ yard. It does it’s job, never had any sunburn. Bur After I finish this, will not repurchase. No no

Save your money

I use a lot of Drunk Elephant products and they're all great but this one by far is my least favorite. I found it very oily and made me look so shiny the instant I put it on. Not great at all.

Excellent product

Very good coverage, does not leave skin oily, or white.

love it.

I have dry/ sensitive skin, and it did not break me out nor does it ''sit'' on top of my skin ( I use it over my moisturizer) it's really good.

Compromised value for the money paid

The packaging is awesome, sunscreen smells like coconut, but its functional characteristics are worse than of 10$ sunscreen you can buy at the drugstore. The texture is watery cream with a lot of small grains in it. I have problems applying the recommended amount of sunscreen, because it's not thick enough to get distributed evenly all over the face, and it doesn’t absorb quickly. It turns white when you sweat (I’m not talking about going running with sunscreen applied on or something). And normal people DO sweat when it’s sunny outside. Oh, and it washes away with water easily, so when you sweat even a little, it starts melting - the even layer that’s needed to protect you from the sun, gets ruined.

Works but does leave a bit of a cast

I actually really like this sunscreen overall. The texture is thick and grainy which is in keeping with it being mineral based. I find it goes on smoothly after I've moisturised. And more importantly I feel like it really works. I've recently started using retinol and had actually burnt my face using another sunscreen whereas this has been a dream over the heat wave! However it does leave a cast but I found it faded after about 10 mins. I'm mixed raced so pretty obvious on me. I definitely wouldn't recommend to my friends with darker skin!

Can't recommend this one

This sunscreen irritates skin under my eyes and feels more drying the moisturising. The sunscreen also grabs onto my stubble making it pile. I wouldn't repurchase this one unfortunately.

Yikes

I bought this product with such high hopes for it... but it has been one of the biggest disappointments. To start with, the texture of the sunscreen is almost kind of grainy and extremely runny! despite it being so runny, it feels very heavy on the face. Moisture wise it hasn't been great either, I have had to add more moisturiser under the sunscreen to prevent my face being itchy from being so dry. because it feels so heavy on the face, the hot weather does not mix well with it. My face started sweating immediately with it on, and despite rubbing the sunscreen in completely, the sweat brought out the white cast again. Last thing it does not mix with makeup well! any extra products and the pilling will start! This has been so bad, I ordered another sunscreen in its place.

Huge Disappointment from my favorite DE

Well, if there is one formula that DE should resist is this one I am afraid. Texture is not smooth and there are visible tiny lumps. When applied on skin the formula spreads easily but it leaves some whiteness behind and personally I am feeling that it doesn't allow my skin to breathe. I am used to wearing SPF50 sunscreen as my skin is super sun sensitive and I live in Greece which means a lot of sun exposure! With such a high protection, sometimes you need to compromise in formula lightness. But this one is SPF30 and the texture is one for 100SPF :) if there is such a thing :). Also, the packaging is not suitable for this product as with a soft squeeze it releases a bigger quantity that the one I need. Overall I think is a waste of money and will definitely not buy again! Sorry my dear tipsy elephant:)
