If youre living in London, chances are that youve passed the Earl of East stores and done a double take: picture a haven of plants, plush pillows and their all-famous home fragrances. Formed around four pillars Create, Curate, Collaborate and Community the lifestyle store-cum-studio is beloved for its in-store candle-pouring and workshops. What started in Hackney as a succinct edit of candles has since evolved into a line of home fragrance favourites that spans across bath salts, incense and aromatic mists. Beyond their effortlessly chic vessels and refined typography, the candles are made from an eco-soy blend of high-quality, raw materials from ethical suppliers; co-founder Niko Dafkos assures that their work does not contribute to deforestation and respects the rights of workers and indigenous people. Which scent are you adding your space?
The key to a supremely soothing soak, the Japanese Bathing Ritual Bath Salts from Earl of East are crafted from a blend mineral-rich salts and essential oils that dissolve under running water to release their therapeutic aromas. Bliss incoming...
Available in two heavenly scents, the only hard part is picking your favourite; taking its name from the Japanese word for hot spring, the Onsen scent profile has an uplifting medley of peppermint, eucalyptus and neroli that emulates the very same sense of serenity that makes the onsen a cultural tradition. The Shinrin Yoku literally forest bath in Japanese scent is an ode to the practice of disconnecting from our fast-paced world, being in nature and absorbing the peaceful atmosphere of the woods. It has an earthy profile of cedarwood, black pepper and oakmoss that conjures the image of a forest floor after the early morning rain abates. *adds to basket*

Lovely scent, but you need handfuls to smell it
I really love Earl of East, have been a huge fan from the start. But although these salts are heavenly, you really do need to use half the jar to have any effect. Their candle of this fragrance lit beside the bath provides a better experience in my opinion, or the hand soap set which is divine.

Lovely salts
Bought as a gift which were very well received. Lovely scent. Only marked down by one as the item arrived with a cracked lid, though the item itself was worth purchasing. Reasonable price also.

Bath Salts Review
Like the packaging and the smell although it doesn't last long and leaves a stain in the bath!

Relaxing but...
Very relaxing bath salts with lovely scent. It feels like an handmade, artesanal product. However, all the salts were agglomerated and I had to break small pieces of it to be able to use it....

Disappointing
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, this hardly has a scent even when using 1/3 of the bottle at a time (making for a very expensive and boring bath!). The salts themselves really are the only benefit. I am pretty sensitive to smells— I break Lush bath bombs into 6 pieces to use individually because otherwise the scent is too overpowering to me— but these bath salts are just too subtle. The jar itself looks elegant in my bathroom, but these are definitely not worth the price tag.

a lovely fragrance
These bath salts are luxurious, and smell divine. I use about half a small scoop in my bath, as hot as I dare, and that's the perfect amount as these are perfumed strongly. Would make a lovely gift to anyone who loves a bath.
