A hand luggage-friendly 30ml, Escentric 01 Refill fits perfectly in the signature travel-sized box. Sibling to Molecule 01, Escentric 01 uses the same aroma chemical Iso E Super – the pheremonic ingredients that has made the Escentric Molecules story such a ground-breaking cult for both men and women – with the addition of spicy pink pepper, a zing of lime peel and balsamic notes such as benzoin, mastic and orris incense to create a more multi-faceted (and self-detectable) aura. Moving away from the traditional fragrance journey through top, heart and base notes, Escentric 01 moves quickly from top to bottom, eventually lingering on a sensual, woody musk base.
Although EM’s nose Geza Schoen has used ‘traditional’ perfumery ingredients to create Escentric 01, the way he formulates his fragrances makes the entirety of the Escentric Molecules range (01, 02 and 03) so contemporary, distinctive and alluring. For the 01s (both Molecule and Escentric), it’s all in the Iso E Super, which is a molecule traditionally added to fragrances to make them more seductive… like a flash of seamed stocking or provocative bat of an eyelash. This is subtle but all the more attractive because it whispers rather than screams your arrival. A wonderfully fresh, more complex version for those who want their Molecule 01 with a little bit more complexity.

Nothing
My last review seems to have been removed. I smell nothing on myself, tried it on 5 other people they smell nothing. Tried it on my clothes I smell nothing. I reached out to the manufacturer as I thought it maybe a faulty batch but got nowhere. There is a smell of alcohol on first spray but evaporated to nothing.

Nice but...
This is a nice perfume with a unique scent and a good lasting power. I also like the fact that it keeps changing over time, so you will smell different as time goes by. However I find it more suitable for men rathen than women. I would have preferred something with a hint of feminine taste (maybe flowers or something little sweeter?). It is nice though. If you like unisex scents, I would recommend it.

Never fails
Hands down the scent that gets the most compliments. I don't smell this as much on me as I used to, but the occasional wafts during the day are lovely. The travel size is brilliant.

AMAZING.
Oh my goodness this perfume is amazing. You don't seem to be able to smell on yourself after the first few applications. But omg everybody else can smell it and the complements I receive when I wear it.

Not for me
I was very excited to try this as I love 03. The description sounded good. I found it headache inducing and very ordinary. This was a surprise after 03. I'm sure however, lots of people will enjoy this - scent is a difficult one to write a review of because scent preferences vary wildly.
