At first glance, the gentle warmth of Molecule 01 shouldn’t be as seductive as it is – yet that’s what probably made this now classic scent so ground-breaking upon its launch. Based around a single note (Iso E Super) it doesn’t go in all guns blazing – flashing its wares like a can-can dancer. Instead it’s something of a smooth operator; deceptively subtle, it melds with the wearer’s natural pheromones to enhance their allure and put a spring in their step. The fact that it's not quite tangible is what makes the bouquet all the more enticing. This hand-luggage friendly 30ml, Molecule 01 Travel Size is housed in a beautiful, protective aluminium box to prevent leaks and in-transit breakage.
Created from the unadulterated aroma-chemical Iso E Super – Escentric Molecules’ Molecule 01 is more an effect than a fragrance. The subtle, velvety, woody scent combines with your natural pheromones, to create an aromatic aura that’s universally bespoke and unfailingly alluring. This waxes and wanes throughout the day and can prove difficult to detect on yourself (hence none of that cloying, headache-inducing effect you can get with many, more ‘traditional’ fragrances) however, the effect it has on others is mesmerising… think Mowgli in his Kaa-induced hypnotic trance, and you’re close to the phenomenal scent-sation this fragrance provokes. There’s a chance you may not be able to smell this on yourself (we know that sounds curious) but, trust us, anybody that crosses your path will be enchanted – in fact, we’ve had more than a few reports of wearers being chased down the street by people wanting to know what perfume they’ve got on. I wanted to try this for ages and I'm not disappointed at all. I read mixed reviews about it,some people say it's too subtle to weak. But, if you understand the science behind it you're not supposed to really smell it on yourself. I've had many compliments and I notice it the most when I've exercised or when I put a jacket on that the fragrance has built up on. I also mix it with Under The Lemon Tree and it's something else.

Doesn’t Smell of anything
On my skin there is no scent, just a smell of alcohol. No one else can smell anything on me either. Wish I had tried it in a shop before buying but was encouraged by all the positive reviews. It clearly doesn’t work on everyone.

Pleasantly woody
This smells pleasantly warm and woody. It seems to linger longer on fabric than on my skin. A fine, timeless scent overall. I occasionally use it to amplify other fragrances like Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry. Definitely unisex, if you like woody scents.

Bottle is hard to open
This is one of my favourite perfumes ever. It's odd because I can barely smell it on myself, but my friend always wears it and I can smell it on her! The only issue I had with this particular one, the carry case is EXTREMELY hard to open. Even my husband struggles to open it! And the bottle had leaked when it arrived but I couldn't be bothered to send it back.
