At first glance, the gentle warmth of Molecule 01 shouldn’t be as seductive as it is – yet that’s what probably made this now classic scent so ground-breaking upon its launch. Based around a single note (Iso E Super) it doesn’t go in all guns blazing – flashing its wares like a can-can dancer. Instead it’s something of a smooth operator; deceptively subtle, it melds with the wearer’s natural pheromones to enhance their allure and put a spring in their step. The fact that it's not quite tangible is what makes the bouquet all the more enticing. This hand-luggage friendly 30ml, Molecule 01 Travel Size is housed in a beautiful, protective aluminium box to prevent leaks and in-transit breakage.
Created from the unadulterated aroma-chemical Iso E Super – Escentric Molecules’ Molecule 01 is more an effect than a fragrance. The subtle, velvety, woody scent combines with your natural pheromones, to create an aromatic aura that’s universally bespoke and unfailingly alluring. This waxes and wanes throughout the day and can prove difficult to detect on yourself (hence none of that cloying, headache-inducing effect you can get with many, more ‘traditional’ fragrances) however, the effect it has on others is mesmerising… think Mowgli in his Kaa-induced hypnotic trance, and you’re close to the phenomenal scent-sation this fragrance provokes. There’s a chance you may not be able to smell this on yourself (we know that sounds curious) but, trust us, anybody that crosses your path will be enchanted – in fact, we’ve had more than a few reports of wearers being chased down the street by people wanting to know what perfume they’ve got on. It will never be cloying or overbearing – indeed, when it comes to scent that will turn others on, less is really more.

Love it!!
I have been using this for a while but have tried other scents but always come back to this one. Always get compliments on it as I think it is a very subtle scent.

Great expectations
It sounds such an amazing concept but sadly it did not work with my body chemistry. Nobody noticed it on me, not even me.

Underwhelmed
Frequent buyer of fragrances covering most styles. The reviews on this product had me intrigued. I would never buy a scent without smelling on my own skin first, however lockdown has thrown a spanner in the works in that regard. Faint smell of alcohol when applied fading to absolutely nothing, zero, zilch, naught. Feel robbed.

Nope...
I've been using the same fragrance for more than 10 years so buying this one to give it a try was truly a leap of faith, based solely on the amazing reviews from other customers. Unfortunately, it didn't go well. Too fruity, too "loud", too synthetic, "too much" even in small doses. Doesn't work for me. I am giving it 2 stars because I love the idea of a perfume that smells differently to everybody.

Loved it on a friend so bought it, very disappointed, knew it would be difficult to smell on myself but no one has commented on it at all, had lots of comments on my Palmers coconut body lotion which is very cheap and a body lotion, not a perfume.

Smells incredible
I bought a travel size of the 01 Molecule on a Friday by Saturday morning I ordered a full size of the 01 and 02 within half an hour of putting it on. I got 3 different compliments and my husband could not stop smelling me. Thank you Cult Beauty for the swift delivery - I'm not sure what's the most titillating, the waiting for the delivery or the ripping open of the packaging you are fast becoming my guilty pleasure and absolute necessity all rolled into one!!

How to gather complements!
I often find perfume to smell repulsive and so at 28 years old I often act like Mr Bean in the perfume isle and have never owned a perfume before this. But when I wear this I a) can not smell it myself and b) people around me stop, sniff the air and wonder what that wonderful smell is. I find it mixes well and I now wear it everyday with any of my growing perfume collection. I've been complemented most of the mixes of: CB I hate perfume tea/rose and Britney Spears' Fantasy - a Christmas gift. I definitely recommend this, believe it's worth the price and will be repurchasing the large size of this when I've run out.
