So upset

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Most of my routine bar a few products is glow recipe. My skin loves this brand so much. One product that wasn't glow recipe was my sunscreen. I have my favourite sunscreen and it's never been topped and when I saw this I was so excited because I thought it might give my fave a run for its money.. nope. No. Nah. Nowhere near. Not only does it pill like nothing else I've ever used but omg, it BURNS my eyes so badly. Putting sunscreen on your eyes is a must to protect your eyes from uva and uvb rays. It's a major category of mine for sunscreen is if it burns my eyes or not. Tye others are, what the finish looks like and can I feel it on the skin. The finish is nice, quite dewy and glowy but I can also feel it on my skin and I don't enjoy the feeling. I am so upset and sad that this didn't work. I tried it with other products and without and the Pilling was just the same. I hope they consider reformulation this because I feel like it could be great but right now it's a hard pass for me. My all time fave sunscreen is still yet to be dethroned.

Would be BEAUTIFUL if it didn’t pill SO badly

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’ve tried using this in so many different ways but every time it pills and clumps together! It has such a beautiful glow & great ingredients like niacinamide and would be a great product if it didn’t pill. Definitely not worth the price point

Really disappointed

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I wanted to love this so badly, my whole routine is glow recipe and when I saw they were launching a sunscreen I was so excited! I think the formulation is great, it has a beautiful dewy finish like all glow recipe products but it pills so badly :( I have tried everything, and the only way it pills a bit less (but it still pills) is if I apply it without any other product underneath. So I guess this might work for someone who has a very minimal routine? But definitely not for me. I will still keep buying glow recipe products, but this is just not for me, I experienced the worst pilling of any product ever. Although I want to thank both glow recipe and cult beauty because they’ve been so nice and patient in giving me application tips. None of them worked obviously but I still really appreciate it! I hope they can take a look at the formulation again in the future!

I really wanted to like this

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have been dying to get my hands on this after hearing GR was finally dropping an SPF, it features some of my favourite ingredients like Niacinamide and Sodium Hyaluronate, it's broad spectrum factor 50, and also just look at this packaging! Tried a little bit on my hand, and found it lightweight and non-tacky, but the problems started when I applied it to my face. I love to layer so I will always use an essence/toner, followed by a couple of serums and a moisturiser before I even get to sunscreen, and then goes primer and makeup so everything needs to sit really well together to handle the layering without pilling. Even with waiting an appropriate amount of time to allow my products to absorb, this has pilled every single time I tried it no matter what my combination of products was underneath or my application technique which really made me really sad. I'm not willing to let go of my beloved regime to use this, as pretty and pink as it is, but this could work for someone who doesn't use as many products in their routine!

Beautiful feel but it pills so badly

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

The actual feel and scent of the sunscreen is great. It’s hydrating, gives you a lovely glow, and it isn’t greasy at all. But it just pills soooo badly. I tend to use the dew drops serum, then the pink juice moisturiser in the morning. But even after trying different products underneath and just waiting over 30 minutes, it just pills and pills.

The worst pilling ever

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have never experienced as much pilling as this with the many spfs I tried ever! Even after waiting for over 30 min, applying it in sections or applying less - it always pills and is horrible under makeup. Don’t let Tiktok lead you into thinking this is a good product.

New fave SPF!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this with high expectations having previously enjoyed other products from Glow Recipe and I wasn’t disappointed! I find this sunscreen to be hydrating enough to skip moisturiser underneath and so haven’t experienced any piling and don’t have any issues with applying make up on top of this. My skin looks great after use, no breakouts or greasiness. I was expecting however the classic watermelon scent of the pink juice. There was a slight hint of a scent but this quickly fades to a typical sunscreen smell!

Could have been better

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’m kind of dissapointed about this one. I was so exited to try it out, but I could feel it on my skin the whole day. It’s not light-weight enough. Too much sticky. Would rather recommend La Roche-Posay’s light-weight if you want to use make-up over.

Best sunscreen ever used!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've tried so many sunscreens before and all have pilled, left a white cast, clogged my pores and broken me out etc. This is the first spf I've ever found that does none of these things, leaves my skin soft and glowy and works well under makeup.  I have acne-prone skin, and this has not broken me out once - so happy!  I use it over my glow recipe watermelon toner, and my glow recipe plum moisturiser - this combo works like a dream. So worth the money!

Better more affordable ones about

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I accidentally bought this instead of the mist (silly me) it smells really good and the packaging is nice. Is a lightweight sunscreen which I enjoy but it pills so bad! I tried this under makeup, without makeup, with and without other skincare products and nothing worked! I just had white clumps on my face! Wouldn't buy again, not worth the money
