I’m unsure how I feel about this foundation. I absolutely love the brand and had high hopes for this foundation. It applies smoothly and I don’t mind the Sun screen scent. I normally go for medium buildable coverage but found I need to reapply this product to certain areas of my face whereas I don’t need to do it with my usual foundation (NARS light reflecting foundation). The initial effect is beautiful and I have to say from the distance my face looks amazing but if you look close up after few hours of wear pores by my nose become accentuated and the foundation doesn’t stay on my nose leaving it patchy! The same with my chin. That’s when I set it with powder too! I’m prone to dry dehydrated skin and potentially very slight oiliness on my T zone but haven’t had this issue with any other foundation I’ve tried. I will continue using this product but it’s likely that I won’t repurchase

Not too glowy which I was a little concerned about as have combo skin. But had to try as I adore hourglass base products. Really quite impressed. It’s a thick consistency yet blends out like a dream. Nice light coverage to begin with but i decided to try building which gave me a gorgeous medium. Little blot needed later in the day but my skin just looks plumper/hydrated. I really like this. Shade 13 is a little bit darker than my 7.5 in the ambient which I also really like. Medium skin tone

Absolutely love this product, it isn’t as heavy as the ambient soft glow foundation but thicker and fuller consistency to the veil hydrating skin tint. It’s so lightweight on the skin it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a foundation. This product really reminds me of the hourglass discontinued illusion hyaluronic skin tint. Holy Grail Status!
I honestly don’t want to love this foundation as it’s so expensive, but it is genuinely knockout! After a couple of weeks of winter flu and working long hours, I’m looking tired and my usual foundations (Pat McGrath, Armani and Laura Mercier) were not cutting it. After watching a YT review that said this stuff was magic, I splurged. I’m so happy I did as it’s honestly amazing. At first I thought the colour might be off ( shade 7 as I’m light medium olive) but it blended in perfectly and matches me magically. It’s got a light to medium coverage but buildable. But how it sits on the skin is unlike anything else. It sets but also feels like you have really comfortable and expensive skincare on. This is my first ever hourglass foundation and it’s blown me away!

A good product
I ordered this immediately because I love hourglass but I’m not 100% sold on it. I got shade 5 (I’m around an NC15) which is a touch too yellow but I can make it work! I love the texture and the coverage of this when I first put it on, it feels and looks so nice BUT it doesn’t last on my skin. I’ve used it twice now with different products underneath / different setting powders but it seems to just disappear. I probably would’ve given 3 stars but I’ve given the benefit of the doubt because my skin is combination leaning towards oily so this could be a dry skins dream! If anyone is looking for an alternative to this I’d recommend shiseido revitalessence skin glow foundation in shade 250 sand - it is a similar price point and similar claims but to me that one is 10x for my skin (it lasts all day when set!)
