I don't know if I have a faulty batch since all the other reviews say that this mascara doesn't smudge, but personally I found that the mascara would clump at the ends of my lashes and then gradually 'fall off' my lashes and gather under my eyes. It was easy to take off at the end of the day, but it smudged quite a bit for me.
