Cakey & powdery. No match to the stick formula.
I was sooo disappointed with this foundation as I'm a huge fan of the HG vanish stick formula. It's the first foundation that I really can't make work for my skin at all, no matter how many hacks I've tried. It's cakey, powdery and feels heavy on the skin. I also notice my skin breaks out after wearing this, which isn't normal for me (I've mostly pretty good skin). A definite no for me, but highly recommend the stick formula.

I love this foundation, was a bit sceptical getting it but it's gorgeous on and flawless, deffo recommend.

Not sure if I like this product
The texture is good and easy to apply. It looks good for the first 2 hours. However it started to look really greasy after a couple of hours of wear. Perhaps it is not suitable for combination to oily skin although I read somewhere that this is suitable for all skin types. The shade seems to be on the darker side one applied. Not the best I have used and it does cause break outs. I have used 2 times now and for both times I used this product, I have got painful pimples.

Nevím, jak komu vyhovuje. Pokud si ho tam někdo nakydá hodně, ano ,pak možná poleze do porů. Stačí ho opravdu malinko a pořádně štětcem zapracovat a rozetřit .Je super. I don't know how it suits whom. If someone loads it there a lot, yes, then maybe it will crawl into the pores. All you have to do is work it out a little and really brush and spread it. It's great.

Best ever foundation
I have struggled for years with oily t zone, make up disappearing and oxidizing... But not this... Beautiful finish with a brush. Lasts all day. I've even wore it through a spin class and it doesn't budge. Light and comfortable. I was hesitant about the price but glad I bought it. It will last for ages.

Over-hyped - Save your money
I tried to love this foundation. After all the marketing & promises I caved and bought this because I love Hourglass products (their primer & face palettes are my favourite!). I have oily skin so I was surprised when this foundation clung to every dry patch I didn't know existed as well as being was heavy (even using a small amount) & patchy. I tried many times to wear this foundation & didn't work. Every time it was cakey & patchy & made my skin look terrible.

Could be better
I have been using it for a while, but frankly the finish on the skin is not seamless at all. It creates texture on the face when you really don't have any.

The best yet
For context, I have dehydrated skin that shows mostly dry with a little oil coming through as the day goes on. So if a foundation is going to cling to dry patches I would see it. I bought this because of a Youtuber recommendation and I tried the stick and liked the finish but not so much the application method (I just prefer liquids) this was exactly what I hoped. Super full coverage so you only need a little and I buff well into my skin and can really get a light coverage if I want. It doesn't look cakey on me and isn't too matte. It's my new favourite foundation.

The absolute best
Okay, so this is the first review I have ever given because I was that impressed. A longtime, loyal hourglass fan, I was very happy with the vanish stick but I always struggled to use the right amount and didn't like the pulling feeling of having to work it around my face. This liquid version is a game changer. I get more and more redness as I get older plus have a v oily nose (also a glasses wearer) and dry cheeks. Basically, makeup doesn't stay on my face or looks worse thought the day. The stick stayed and looked okay. This, however, not only stayed but after a day in the sun, it was still there at 1am looking as dewy as I put it on. Very impressed. I think all the cakey reviews are due to using too much. You really do need half a pump. worth it. x
