Squeeze a small amount onto fingertip and dot across eyelid. Gently pat to blend an even layer over the entire space (up to the brow bone). Allow to dry completely before applying shadow, or leave bare for natural, even coverage.

Drying & Ageing….
Firstly, I want to say that I love many Hourglass products, but sadly not this one. It’s a thick texture which smooths out very well on the lid, however, eyeshadow literally grips onto it like glue and immediately from then on doesn’t move - at all, so it’s impossible to blend. If you do manage to get any to blend out at all, it tends to go patchy. I’ve got many palettes and take pride in applying my eyeshadow, but I just can’t get on with this. The texture is also extremely drying on the lid and I also really struggled to apply eyeliner on top of the shadow, when normally it glides on. As the texture was so drying, it also really accentuated creases around my eyes and actually made me look tired and older - not the look I was hoping for. As soon as I went back to my previous Urban Decay primer potion, I was able to apply my eyeshadow properly again as normal. If you are over 50 (I’m 56) I’d recommend avoiding this if you can.

Watery Consistency
Creases on the lid, separates and i found it too watery to stay in place with eyeshadow.

New favourite primer
Works great under the cream eye shadow I use, no creasing and keeps it in place all day. Also gives good colour intensity that I previously lost using just a concealer on my lids. Has a slight tint so conceals most of the redness on my lids. Love hourglass products so I’m impressed with this new addition.
