I wanted a small container of loose powder for travel. Solid powders overload my oily skin which is even worse in warmer climates. This proved to be better than expected. The texture is very fine and the colour is excellent.

Clean ingredients, good for oily skin
I am trying to use cleaner products where I can make the swap, and this product was rated really well on Yuka. I have oily skin and it keeps my makeup in place all day (I do need to blot away some oiliness throughout the day, but I always have done!) I was previously using the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder which I do still prefer, and would choose over this one for my going out makeup, as I think it’s more matte and has better staying power. BUT the Hourglass one isn’t far behind, and I will happily make the swap for cleaner ingredients, especially as I wear makeup everyday. I bought the travel size one to trial it and will probably purchase the larger one when it runs out. The only negative is it is quite pricey!

The texture is very fine and the colour is excellent - so many shades termed translucent are far too pale, making you look like a ghost - and the integral filter means you don't use too much. This has a very slight cream/banana tinge that disappears into the skin. Would definitely buy again.

This powder doesn't get cakey at all and doesn't make my face look dry. It leaves a nice luminous finish and doesn't alter the colour of your foundation or concealer. However it does not set my under eyes as well as other popular brands which is a shame.
