I wanted a small container of loose powder for travel. Solid powders overload my oily skin which is even worse in warmer climates. This proved to be better than expected. The texture is very fine and the colour is excellent - so many shades termed translucent are far too pale, making you look like a ghost - and the integral filter means you don't use too much. This has a very slight cream/banana tinge that disappears into the skin. Would definitely buy again.

This powder doesn't get cakey at all and doesn't make my face look dry. It leaves a nice luminous finish and doesn't alter the colour of your foundation or concealer. However it does not set my under eyes as well as other popular brands which is a shame.

Good powder
This powder is best for touching up and taking away shine. On my wedding day it was 32 degrees so my makeup melted off! But my friend had this powder in her handbag and it reatored my makeup! I use it after my Charlotte tilbury foundation and it keeps fine lines a bay for a few hours. It’s not as good as I expected but I will still continue to buy.

This powder is amazing! It literally sets make up for hours and hours and without looking cakey at all. I've been a die hard fan of the laura mercier setting powder for years but after seeing the hourglass powder all over social media I was very intrigued to try it so I bought the mini (which will last ages btw) it hasn't disappointed and it's just as amazing as the laura mercier I would say. Definitely recommend!
