My mum’s all time favourites

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have been buying these for my mum, she is a very glamorous 78 but has bad arthritis in her hands. These are so easy for her to use. They look amazing and the shades are beautiful. She has 4 now and I have 2… I love them for quick looks. They are fool proof (I recommend blending the edges with a finger if you want a diffused look, it’s more effective than a brush, then dab or swipe the glitter on. So easy! If you have hooded lids then I recommend looking down or closing your eyes for a minute or less whilst the glitter dries so it doesn’t transfer). They give you a 2 minute look that one would think took ages. And they do not budge… I’ve danced for hours and been a sweaty mess but my eyeshadow still looks bang on.

Pretty

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

When I opened this product to use for the first time the crayon part of it fell out of the tube, luckily I was able to salvage it, but not a great first impression. The crayon part is very easily applied and blends well with either a brush or your finger, that alone looks nice for just a simple look. The glitter is a bit trickier to apply, I find it best to just tap it gently onto the eyelid. Make sure the crayon is properly set otherwise the glitter on top can make it look a bit patchy. The colours are really pretty (I got the shade Nectar) I would recommend.

Not sure this works for me

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I thought I would like this product based on the reviews but the stick Eyeshadow side doesn’t spread evenly on my lid, I tried to blend it with my finger and a brush, it still looked streaky and not as opaque as I hoped. When I used the glitter gel on top of it, it didn’t seem to add much and you could see the streaky base beneath.  Not wowed by this product.

Wildflower is the perfect pink

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I am obsessed with shade 'Wildflower' which is this gorgeous pink colour. The crayon itself is pigmented, blends easily and sets quickly. I'll be honest that I didn't find the glitter gel that easy to use at first and this took some practice to get right. For the smoothest application, I'd let your base set completely and then apply the gel onto the back of the hand before dipping your finger in and gently tapping this all over the lid. When I use a brush I find that it starts to pick up the colour from underneath and go a bit patchy so try to avoid using a brush if possible.

I need every shade!

These are stunning! The crayon is super cream and easy to blend into shadows. Then the glitters really make your eyes pop. I've been using the Desert Rose crayon with the glitter from Wildflower and it's the perfect combo ✨

Cute!

Lovely little duo, great to create a high impact look effortlessly. The crayon side is creamy and blendable, it does eventually set on its own but it provides enough playtime to manipulate it into the shape that you want and to blend any harsh edges. The liquid formula is very sparkly and can be layered to amp up the glow. In terms of longevity, it's pretty good too! However, if you have very watery eyes like me don't skip the primer because you will need it if you are planning on wearing this for 10+ hours.

Beautiful!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have a few shades of this product now, and they're so good that I'm eyeing up the rest! They're perfect for both a quick eye that looks like you've spent ages perfecting it, or to add to an already elaborate eye look because of the unique double ended aspect. The crayon side is really creamy and super blendable, with loads of pigment, and the glitters and show-stoppingly shimmery and add an extra level of 'wow' to your look. I'd recommend patting the glitter side on (there's no fall out due to the clever formulation so no need to worry about these ruining your base!) for maximum drama! Wildflower is a personal favourite so far, but I'm thinking of picking up Goldmine next as I think it'll be perfect for party season!

Pretty good

I love the crayon end of this - blends on easily and does seem to stay in place for a decent amount of time. Also extremely quick and easy to apply when you don’t have time for eyeshadow. I wasn’t as keen on the brush/liquid end as it was a bit intense.. however this is probably personal preference.

Nectar Bonus Points

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love the shade Nectar for my brown eyes, it really makes them pop. You have to use a primer first (I love Too Faced Shadow Insurance) to get it to stay, but it's easy to apply, flattering and just on the right side of glitter for daytime without straying in to discoball territory. Now I have After Hours in my wishlist ready to buy!

After hours indeed

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Gorgeous pigment that lasts all day without an eye primer and I received so many compliments in the office! The only thing is I wish that the applicators were thinner so it was easier to use as a liner, I had to use a brush to create the look I wanted but this wouldn’t put me off trying more colours.
