Love gardenia but this is ok
My favourite gardenia scent will be Chanel from its exclusive range . To me it’s still One of the best . This is ok but somehow doesn’t have the depth that I like

I might have to leave another review after I've given this a proper go, I bought this on a whim because a friend was telling me how much they love Jo fragrances, and I love fresh, green, floral scents (Frédéric Malle Carnal Flower is my favourite, but very expensive, perfume!) so from the description this sounded perfect for me! However, my first impression upon trying it was cigarette smoke, which I assume is actually the incense note from the description. I actually like perfumes with a tobacco note, my 'signature' fragrance is Kayali Invite Only which is quite a heady, smoky/sweet perfume. However, to me it comes across overwhelming in Jo Loves, and instead of being balanced by fresh or greenery notes the floral element seems to clash, my impression is more of soap than of the fresh cut flowers I was hoping for! It could just be that this perfume doesn't work with my particular body chemistry, which would be a great shame as on paper it sounds like my ideal fragrance! However, I'm going to stick with it and try again making sure that there's no trace of other perfume/handcream on and hope that it improves, because I really want to like it!

Beautiful scent, but not for me
This is a beautiful musky floral scent, unusual for Jo Loves as a lot of their perfumes (at least the ones I have tried) are quite fresh and light. The scent is quite reminiscent of lilies. As lovely as this perfume is, I am not sure that it works for me. It would be fantastic on someone more mature / glamorous than I am!

Is this my new favourite?
I tend to give florals a miss when choosing fragrances because they normally all end up smelling like rose (love roses, dislike the scent). Although this is described as being floral, the floral notes are very subtle. This fragrance is fresh but also warm, it's sweet but has a touch of spiciness, it's light but also has a gorgeous depth to it. This has definitely earned its place amongst my favourites!

So elegant and clean
The best way for me to describe the literal comparison and sensation of this fragrance is that it smells like an incredibly wealthy person's soap, it is clean with that slight tang of soapiness its noticeable without being overbearing. This is lovely on its own but you can easily mix this if you are someone who likes to cocktail your fragrances, and though the more powerful side of this wears after a little while you will find others catching a nice whiff of you long after applying this. This isn't quite my style but it is truly a lovely fragrance especially if you want elegant, stripped back and clean.
