Not loving Jo Loves

So disappointed in these fragrances, I was a huge fan of Jo Malone and so had high hopes for Jo Loves, but I find these perfumes overpowering and I think all of them, in this collection, have a very 'mature' scent. A good idea to provide a sample collection though, as I know now without spending too much that these are just not for me. ☹️

Xmas gift

Bought these for a Xmas gift, great chance to try all the different fragrances. Disappointed in packaging - looked a bit like a freebie.

Beautiful Scents!

This really is a beautiful collection of fragrances that has a little bit of something for everyone. My personal favourites were Pink Vetiver (vetiver is my favourite fragrance ingredient - this scent was light and fresh but also has a gorgeous warmth to it) and Cobalt Patchouli & Cedar (it's fresh, clean, and warm but also has a kick to it). If you are undecided, this is the perfect way to test multiple scents to help you find your favourite.

Good if you are trying to figure it out

This is a great set to go for if you are new to Jo Loves and want to have a smell of the range. However, I did find a lot of these smells weren’t for me and ended up giving them to my mum in which she absolutely loves. Pomela is my favourite (as well as my mum's favourite out of the set).

Love this product

I have bought this collection twice now. I love the different scents & depending how I feel influences my scent for the day. I have had no issues using them, and I find the scents classy. Jo Malone is nono for me now to predictable, everyone wears it, if you want to stand out but in a subtle way this set is a brilliant introduction to Jo Loves. Highly recommended

Not good

I ordered this discovery pack as I had heard Jo Malone had set up another company and I LOVE Jo Malone scents so hoped I’d find something I liked here. Not so, all the scents had a horrible soapy smell, very strong, not pleasant and very old ladyish. My husband even commented I smelt like an old lady’s talc! Will not use these scents so wasted £25

Classy & fresh - loved this set

Many moons ago, I used to wear Jo Malone 154 religiously (we're talking in the '90s when JM was still pretty exclusive). 154 got discontinued & I abandoned Jo Malone when it went all corporate but was intrigued to find out what Jo Loves was like. In my opinion, she's back on top form and I absolutely loved this set. The only ones I wasn't too bothered about was Orange Butterflies, which I found inconsequential, and the Roses one, although if you do like rose, this is a delicious dew drops on roses type of scent. But I am bowled over by Jo Loves, Pomelo, Pink Vetiver & Green Orange & Coriander. I love Vetiver anyway, but Pomelo surprised me - sort of citrus & spice together, and quite unisex, which I like. Green Orange & Coriander has the most staying power I think and as it dries down becomes softer and more rounded than the initial sharp greenness. I think (although I'm not sure) that the flagship scent is my favourite. I can't really identify what's in it but I don't really care. This, to me, is 154 revived for the 2010s...subtle, fresh, not too feminine but sophisticated. I am puzzled by the reviews on here calling them 'old woman' scents. First of all, it's a bit insulting to old women, many of whom smell very nice (!) and secondly, I really don't know what they mean. I don't like anything sweet, sickly, ozonic, synthetic, too pungent, too recognisable - and I find a lot of mainstream modern scents are like this, but this little coffret of fragrance ticks all the boxes for me. A sophisticated treat. I just can't decide which one to buy full size. Perhaps I'll just buy another set instead.
